Think we had a few good chances to win the game yesterday. It was just down to pathetic finishing and some bad luck(penalty decision, Saka header). Though one could also argue if we could’ve been a bit more attacking and try create more chances to win the game regardless.
It’s a concern.
Yesterday felt like the type of game a Salah (last season) or Haaland would have been the difference, scoring that vital goal that gets you all three points.
Nobody like that in our team at the moment, we hoped it would be Gyokeres, be he’s far from being that guy.
For all the doom and gloom, Sels make a couple great saves (got himself MOTM). We created chances and could easily have won whilst keeping a clean sheet.
On another day we win 2/3-0…
Pity we dont play before City next weekend but who wouldn’t have taken been 7 points clear after 22 games (I know Villa still need to play) at the start of the season.
We were unlucky yesterday. People are getting way too emo about a draw.
So a point gained on 2nd and 3rd place.
Damn, he really is a gooner. Pretty much admitting it was a pen without actually saying it.
Was a clear pen. Not biased to say we were robbed.
He tried to help us by winning a pen for us?!
That’s so nice of him, I guess.
As an Arsenal fan, that one just feels frustrating more than anything. We controlled large parts of the game, created enough chances to win comfortably, and still couldn’t find the breakthrough.
Fair play to Sels, he had one of those games where everything sticks. On another day we score two or three and nobody’s talking about it. Just one of those matches where the ball doesn’t want to go in.
Still, performances like that over a season usually pay off — just need to be more clinical, especially with big fixtures coming up.
