Nottingham Forest vs Arsenal (PL) 0-0

Apparently first time since August they had their strongest XI playing. Defended well.

Why are we starting Martinelli in a game like this.

He can score vs bottom fodder championship teams only

Two of the most unforgivable points we’ll drop this season.

Awful result and it calls into question our ability to get this title over the line for me.

I know its knee jerk but we really need to sell Martinelli and Ode next summer and sign some players who can win us game on individual quality

Can’t believe how little we offered in the whole second half, with a full strength team out there basically.

That Merino chance after the set piece, Saka header, and maybe one or two other halfchances and that’s it.

Worrying how desperately DRY our attack can be even with all those options out there.

Their goalie was the clear MotM today. I thought we were pretty perfunctory for spells but had enough chances to win. Onwards.

Ref Watch: I’ve not read any comments about him but I think Oliver had an okay game today. I don’t agree that the Forest players arm was in a very natural position but my feelings were there wasn’t much contact on the ball and his actions failed to stop a corner being conceded. I would have been sick if we’d lost to a penalty being awarded for that.

If we dont score from corners we are in trouble.

Its a bit pathetic

Though every point will be vital come the end of the season, what annoyed me is we could’ve stretched our lead into double figures soon had we gotten it to 9 today, and that would’ve been a big psychological factor for City while they were chasing. Really annoying result today all things considered.

I genuinely don’t care about Inter away. I am already dreading Manchester United next week. We can’t go three games without a win in the league and its not Amorins Utd :smiling_face_with_tear:

Lack of authority. No one expected to play an easy game against Forest but a winning team find a way to take the three points. Apart from one or two big chances missed, Arsenal have played a depressing game. So slow, so lazy. It’s not the first time we settle on our opponents standards than showing the big difference between us and who we face. That’s why our attacking players, apart from Bukayo, have zero personality. They suffer so much the pressure, the toughness of opponents defenders, the atmosphere of the away stadiums. Look at Eze: Arteta have to say if Ebe has applied the tasks asked before coming on. I would like to understand where the problem is. Where is the problem: what the coach asks or what the players fails to do? Eze went on the pitch with a very soft approach, never offered an easy pass to Saka, played as striker, hid behind the Forest defenders, waited to receive the ball on the feet instead of moving to open spaces for himself or the team mates. Where is the problem? Started the game with front runners and finished with a lot of technical players who haven’t made a single good run or movement to create something big. The only one capable to click is Bukayo, as usual.

Lucky not to lose really.

We need to buy. The wheels look perilously close to falling off.

Completely expected performance and result tbh. Don’t care what Forest’s form is like this was a carbon copy of recent year’s games there with slightly more chances. Just a tough ground for us. We’re in this race for the long haul but lets face it the others aren’t ready to catch us.

At least the two forest fans on here will be happy with a point apiece :pires2: :pires:

…a new striker :).

Feels disgusting that the only goals I’ve cheered on this weekend were scored by United! And they’ll probably do us next week as well.

That save from Sels is devastating ffs. What a save

The miss from merino was the bigger chance. He absolutely fluffed it.

I feel Gabriel should have gave him a shout
