Noni Madueke

2 hours ago I’ve decided to take a break from the transfer window (and OA) until August.

I’ve failed.

Announced in the coming hours??? Baldy doesn’t know how we operate. Will be Monday or Tuesday at the earliest.

But he’s a Chelsea reject isn’t he??? Sounds to me like Chelsea didn’t want to get rid.

Monday announcement for sure.
They’re gonna have to do his medicals and film a bunch of stuff, I doubt they do that today, probably tomorrow.

Frustrating seeing some of the comments online hating on Madueke and this transfer deal. I really think people need to keep things in perspective. I also don’t care about the Chelsea link…our only concern should be whether the player is right for Arsenal.

From what I’ve seen today, and this is still very limited, the player seems like a talent, but clearly needs to work on his end product.

I still want to wait until we see what we have done in this window to improve our attack. I think that’s the only way we can really judge this transfer deal. If Madueke is the only forward other than a Striker that’s purchased this window, I’ll be disappointed. For now, I am happy to watch and wait for updates.

I think Gyokeres gets done, and the links to Eze still seem strong. I’d still love us to go for Rodrygo as well, but maybe that seems unlikely now.

In terms of Madueke, if he is confirmed, which seems like a matter of time now, I’ll be fully behind him and look forward to seeing him play at the Emirates.

I’m surprised at the negativity towards this. Granted, if Madueke is the only forward reinforcement, it stinks but I see him as a good option.

Good to see some positivity!

Always liked him as a player. Genuinely think he’s better than Nico Williams. He’d better learn how to shoot before September though. I think he’s good enough to give Saka a break, which is huge.

I’m running a highly scientific model run of Arsenal in FM24 with Noni Madueke, Mosquera, Eze, Goykeres, Zubimendi, Norgaard and Kepa in our squad. Only Trossard, Lokonga, Tierney, Zinny and Vieira have left. Nelson stayed as he wanted to and I’m nice like that.

Anyway, it’s like a turbo charged team. Noni with some beautiful crosses into the area, Eze an attacking battering ram and Zubi Zubi Zubi Zubi ah ah ah ah ah peppering balls to feet from deep.

If they’re anything like this IRL, then we’ll have the title wrapped up by November.

Love it! Even more positivity!

Suddenly, a 52m Madueke is a good signing…
What a turn around.

Well don’t leave us in the dark my friend.

Let’s hear your position

Said it, disappointed.

As a Saka cover, he is good enough as he is better than Nelson. Probably better than Nwaneri (at this moment).
52m as a back up?
75m for Kai was also bad… we overpaid, but at least we bought him as a starter, and he played so many minutes for us till injured.

We all know Saka is going to get the major minutes. Arteta is not going to rest him because we have Madueke.
Are we going to try Madueke on the left?
Well, why not just buy an appropriate LW who can play on the right side part time but 52m on Madueke??

Disappointed.

Wait until you see the full picture before you say you are disappointed…we can’t see the whole plan yet!

If we are not getting a LW, then we may have a chance to see Arteta trying to use him there.
Probably a starter, a chance that he would play more than expected.
If we get a LW (or Eze)… most likely he is a sub/rotation. a 52m rotation.
