According to this shitty article eze is available for a little more.

Just get the actual good player.

We waste far too much money on shite

We are too good now to keep taking on all these projects.

Fuck off

Are we doing money laundering for Chelsea or something?

It’s most likely both mate.
ESPN simply said they’re unsure whether one affects the other.
However, Romano and Ornstein have highlighted that Eze is a separate matter.

Exactly as I was guessing.

He ain’t a better LW than Martinelli.

This is an absolute waste of funds.

Get someone we actually need.
Eze would actually add some quality there. Madueke adds nothing.
I’d rather experiment with Nwaneri there if anything.

You can’t rule that out the way things are going lol

If Nwaneri is clamoring for minutes and wants to prove himself then give him a good run on the right and some minutes deputizing for Ƙdegaard in cup games.

No need to bring in another Chelsea scrub when we’ve already got a better option.

I would bet on Nwaneri to have more G/A next season if he stays in this current role as a Saka/Ode back up, than Madueke staying in Chelsea being in their starting XI.

That’s how much more productive and efficient he is imo.
His G/A ratio to minutes played was great last season, and you expect him to have better numbers in total the next season, if he plays an important squad role right from the start of it (he only really got going in middle of the last season).

Nwaneri is 18 years old and he’ll improve massively. I don’t see Madueke improving sigificantly past what he’s showing atm.

In excess?! Time to fuck this one off and put the money towards Eze

Oh gtfo

I don’t want him for ANY kind of money, let alone for that kind where it seriously reduces our chances of actually improving the starting XI further on.

I seriously don’t understand all this interest in him or Mbuemo etc… unless Saka has some issues left we don’t know about??

Chelsea doing their annual fleece and finesse of AFC. Don’t take the bait Berta.

Calm everyone. We will not be buying him for Ā£50m. We’re looking for a market opportunity for Saka’s back-up, we’re doing what we did with the striker role, getting personal terms in place to put pressure on the selling club. We’ll probably be wanting a Ā£30m fee with performance related bonuses. If Chelsea continue to stick to their valuation, we’ll move on.

Eze and Goykeres are our main targets right now. We have a decision to make on Martinelli and Trossard and also have half a dozen players to sell. Nwaneri can start the season as Saka’s back-up.

We are not going to do this deal at the expense of quality starters. There’s 7 weeks to go before the end of the transfer window, Madueke is still away with Chelsea. We have time to pivot to another option and I honestly think we will.

As a potential back-up to €150m Saka, who plays the same position for the national team and therefore should bring the best out of him, I don’t think so.

How much should a player who can push Saka or come on as a sub for him cost? Because we can’t have the drop off to a kid or a €25m make weight. We need to raise the floor as much as we need to raise the ceiling.

This just has that same, sunken, inevitability of happening, doesn’t it?

All this bitching for a Saka cover. We’re not paying Ā£50m for him.

I don’t think he will be just a Saka-cover but much like Trossard be used over the whole front line and be the 12th man.

Yeah, Saka cover and competition for LW with Martinelli and probably Eze(where he would offer something different compared to them).

I think what irks people is the Chelsea link.

It irks people because of the Chelsea link, because of the quoted price (that I doubt Chelsea will budge from, look at how much they paid for Gittens), his actual talent and portfolio in the PL so far and also because the real LW (Rodrygo) situation hasn’t been solved yet. The chronological events is also a factor for some too.

The fear is that we sign Eze and Madueke and walk away saying that we tried for the market opportunity in Rodrygo and he’s now staying at Madrid etc.
