Either itās a good cover up or good excuse for his failure. Two big wage players in Sanchez & Lukaku left, so surely you can ask for one good player to work with; especially with the midfield they have

Iād go with Rodgers or Allegri.
Apart from having worn an Arsenal shirt, what have Ljundberg, Vieira, Sylvinho, Arteta and Henry done to deserve to be on that list?
No other top European club would touch them with a barge pole.
Allegri is an effective manager and would sort out our defence, so at least it wouldnāt be so shambolic.
But Rodgers would be a decent choice simply because he has done more with Leicester, in the short space of time heās been there than Emery has with us, and we have far better players
Whoever we choose, it has to be a manager that can, not only keep the decent players we have, but also attract top quality as well.
If you think a manager is going to come in and make our defence better with our current crop, then you are mistaken.
If true he deserves to be sacked on that basis then.
Counting on Martial and Rashford to produce the goals is just flat out idiocy.
Tuchel 10-1
Freddie 10-1

But they might be able to stop the individual errors.
Any successful, top manager, wouldnāt keep repeating the same mistakes by continually picking the same players that make those mistakes.
They would also not ignore the fact the we have no decent CBās so would go out and buy top quality defenders than blowing most of the transfer budget on a winger.
Sheffield United have a defence that cost less than we paid for Mustafi but they are a lot more organised than ours and the players know what is required of them.
If a newly promoted manager can do it then Iām sure Allegri or Rodgers could as well.
Sol in.
Oh yeah that works 2 ways. Didnāt even mean that.
Remember when he wanted to be a politician? Good times.
I say sack Emery and give Freddie the job till the end of the season. See how that goes, while we put out feelers for the likes of Allegri, maybe even Rodgers. Except Allegri, none of the others seem like long term options but then are there any long term options in football these days?
This growing Rodgers obsession almost seems insane to me. Heās an absolute nothing manager for a team who want to be pushing for major honours.
Now more than for a long time thereās simply no standout candidates right now. Allegri a side and Ancelotti, Benitez and Jose probably past there best itās worrying. Tuchel, Nagelsmann or the Ajax bloke are all gambles.
The honest truth itās a tricky time for the club and other sideās going forward.
But he is third in the PL, only two points behind Man City, and has been very close to winning the PL with Liverpool.
He might not be many supporters first choice but we are a club that have a board lacking in true ambition so, of the managers available and that might be attracted here, Rodgers is an upgrade on Emery.
Who else, that we could reasonably expect to attract and is proven in the PL, is better than him?
Ancelotti or Allegri might be preferable but with clubs like Man U, spurs and Everton looking to replace their managers before us, they will get them before us because our board will still be dithering over giving Emery a new contract.
Heās third after 9 games what does that even mean in the grand scheme of things? People donāt realise that Leicester actually invested good money in the summer. They spent Ā£30m on Perez, Ā£40m on Tielmans, Ā£20m+ on Praet. They spent over Ā£100m in the summer to bolster what is already a pretty decent squad.
The obsession with Rodgers comes from his nearly season at Liverpool where his team conceded 50+ goals and bottled the title with 3 games to go despite holding a good lead.
You could argue that most supporters want Emery out after the same amount of games.
As for bottling it with Liverpool, the fact he got to a winning position in the PL and would have won it if it wasnāt for a mistake by his best player and captain, doesnāt take away from him being a more than decent manager.
We want Emery out because thereās been no on field progress and he totally bottled a CL qualification last season.
And Liverpool lost to Chelsea because of Rodgers game management. He only knew one way to play with Liverpool. They dropped a 3 goal lead against Palace in the very next game so Liverpoolās failure was all on Rodgers.
So by the same argument he must be given the credit for getting them to a position where they were the clear favourites to win the PL title.
I donāt think he is the best manager in Europe but he is the sort of manager that could get us back challenging for the title and that has PL experience.
I would much prefer Ancelotti but as our board didnāt go for him to replace Wenger then I canāt see why they would go for him to replace Emery.
He was quite young then tbf. He changed a team from misfits like Adam, Downing and Caroll into an exciting side who nobody gave a chance that season of winning a title.
Coutinhio and Sturridge were good signings and Suarez hit numbers heād been nowhere near before their.
Sterling was also given his head by him. His management is based on decent football and good coaching of youngsters. Leicester have looked better than anytime since the title win with Vardy profiting again from a better set up.
Agreed but what are the alternatives? We can either wait for a manager like Pep or Klopp to become available, while continuing to suffer Emeryās gutless brand of football, or we get someone who will be an instant improvement over Emery, and wait for the next Pep/Klopp to become available.
I know itās not the ideal way of doing things but I donāt think fans can continue to endure another season of Emery, assuming he will see out this season (the very thought of it irritates me).
Thatās a terrible list Tuchel and Allegri aside. Could also live with Arteta getting a chance.
