Newcastle Vs Arsenal (PL) 0-2

Well yeah but I’d moan at Arteta for starting him.

We have essentially given up the physical battle and gone for ball control with this lineup. Arteta knows better than us so lets see.

In theory Jorginho brings an element of control to the midfield.

But for Arteta to drop Partey two games in a row, that lets you know who he thinks is most responsible for the drop in performance versus West Ham and Southampton.

Probably City. If Arteta watched that third goal back where Partey just stopped bothering then I don’t think that went down well.

Odegaard and Xhaka are also lucky that neither Vieira or ESR are good enough yet to take their spots.

Premier League, Champions League and European Championship winning midfielder is the one player in our midfield three that I don’t worry about.

Odegaard needs to be up for a battle for once and Xhaka needs to make his mark.

What?

Odegaard gets the Ozil treatment now cos he gets marked out of big away games, being our most crucial player and all. Didn’t you get the memo?

Odegaard has been KILLING it away from home lol

In fact most of his goals are away from home

Yeah, the Odegaard thing is getting silly now. Yeah, he was bad against City. So were many others.

Pretty positive he’s had many great performances away from home just this season.
Bournemouth, Wolves, Brighton, Spurs and Fulham just some off the top of my head.

I think that goes for both Odegaard and Saka. They’ve got “money in the bank” to serve up dud performances now and again. They’re arguably the two main reasons we’re up there in the first place.

Well the simple case is they both get targeted as our two main players. Saka gets double teamed in some games and Odegaard gets man marked.

Sometimes there’s just not much you can do when the opposition focuses specifically on you, you have to hope the others find the space that’s been left behind.

Not that neither have ever had a bad game or dipped their form but it’s weak to give Odegaard shit like he ever hides.

Must win game for obvious reasons. If not by 10pm tonight we could be third .
Fucking third :face_with_symbols_over_mouth::face_with_symbols_over_mouth:

Don’t get old

If we’re good enough to win the title, we will win today.

If we don’t win, then we have next season and the continuing development of these special players to look forward to.

They can, because they can overtake Newcastle. Doesn’t affect our position though.
