Youâre making too much out of Mudrykâs role in all of this. He was willing to joing us, but never obsessed by us or anything like that (why should he?).
Chelsea made the deal with Shakhtar, we didnât and that was it. Mudryk was always going to accept a move to any good club in any of the top leagues in Europe.

Makes you wonder why more deals arenât gazumped at the last minute when itâs seemingly so easy to do so. Itâs always in the interest of the player / club to stoke up as much interest as possible. Agents will be whoring out their players to everybody they can.
