Concern is that it doesn’t seem like we are looking at “several options” in case this and Felix doesn’t materialize (seems Felix ship sailed?)… its probably this kid or no one (or maybe some irrelevant small signing)… i fear we are going to get no one (and maybe reasonably so) and it will just make our margin for title that much tighter.

he is gonna be more than just a backup…i reckon soon (if we get him) it will be like (NO not comparing the 2 players) CR7 going to RM for £90m people were losing their shit saying OH MY no player is worth that money. I reckon even if we went close to £75-80m for him in a few seasons people will be saying it is money well spent. Considering that is what we paid for pepe who turned out to be a dud…this guy seems far more capable and WILLING than pepe…you can tell he is absolutely itching to play for us. So i doubt he will come here and then turn crap given his age and what he has shown so far.
Then think of what Sterling said as regards arteta saying he made his game so much better as a winger. I reckon people will be swallowing this fee soon enough saying he is worth it once he starts motoring for us.

You missed my point you said he’s itching to play for us, he’s playing in a war torn country so given the choice im sure Accrington Stanley would be preferable, Chelsea are mugs who pay over the odds for anyone. If Mudryk is worth €100 million why aren’t any other clubs in for him?
Everyone knows we are after an attacking player and Shakhtar knows the PL is awash with money. Personally we would be mugs to pay what they are asking for.

We’ve gone over a thousand posts on this transfer saga and Shakhter want world class money for a player who has only played in a war zone farmers league.
We’re desperate for more attacking options and if we don’t strengthen, the few players we’ve got are going to start picking up injuries and we’ll be down to fringe players.
Just tell them 60m then if they continue haggling just tell them to forget it and spend it on a PL proven goal scoring assist machine like Maddison,
