Mykhailo Mudryk

You can’t move a player on if they insist on running down their contract.

If that isn’t the case, then Leicester would be mugs not to cash in during this window.

For fucks sake get the deal done ! It’s worth 9 points in confidence alone .

They could have sold Tielemans and got a replacement at the end of last season for decent money.
So it’s unlikely Leicester sell him in this window when they’ll struggle to get a replacement during the season for the little money they get for him.
The same thing could also happen with Maddison as well at the end of this season.

It’s poor business from a club that are usually very good in the transfer market.
They need some serious investment and players like Maddison and Barnes aren’t going to hang around at a mid table club.

Fuck this shit. The Smith is back anyway. Get him in the summer instead then.

And that would be a big L. If they were competing for something, then it might make sense to hang on to the player.

This, it’s dragged out for too long and we need reinforcements ASAP.

Agree. The market is all warped rn.

We’re in the first week of the window. Club sounds confident of getting him, player wants to move now.
They’re not in the CL anymore, his only platform to raise his worth is the EL now, and I doubt they get far in the competition or he puts performances in that will justify wanting more money than they’re getting now.

Who remembers when Norwich were holding out for like £40m for Max Aarons?

Pretty positive they rejected a significant bid from Barca a few years back and they did scare away interest in 2021 when everyone was looking for right backs.

The way they handled Cantwell and Aarons is scandalous. Two assets they could have cashed in but were too greedy, now both are pretty much worthless.

They could have got around 30m each for those two but they’d just sold Buendia to Aston Villa and their board were being criticised by their supporters for the lack of investment to keep them in the PL.
So they kept hold of the players they thought might keep them there, which clearly didn’t work.

Lol, back when Norwich fans thought they’d challenge for a European spot if they kept their best players and they questioned why Buendia would want to leave them for us.

Norwich is a yo-yo club. Both the board and the fans should embrace it.

It’s gone too quiet regarding this potential move.

Quiet feels good. Can’t be arsed with the hourly updates from Donetsk headquarters which are basically saying the same thing…’he’s yours for One Hundred Million Dollars’

Tbf, the only real update we’re waiting for next is regarding a new bid.
Unfortunately Shakhtar don’t want to play nice so it’s likely this will take a little bit longer than expected.

They’re greedy as fuck but it’s not them we should be angry at, it’s idiots like Chelsea and Man Utd who have fucked this market.

I hope we’re looking elsewhere too, I’d love to have him here, but Shakhtar being left with a sulking wantaway would please me too.

Meeting today then

With no disrespect meant to Oxford, this was basically a “free” weekend to focus on transfers.

Feels like we’ve pushed our offer to 95% of our limit. Not much more we can do.

Unless Shakhtar reduce their demands then this transfer is dead. Even more unlikely given their very public posturing about Mudryk’s value. They won’t want to be seen as weak or being bullied on this. Our offer and their price seem miles apart.

Quiet is good cause it means Shaktar have run out of ideas to get a bidding war going for him. Or maybe we’ve made a new offer / made slight changes to the second offer and they, having realized it might not get better than this, are seriously considering it.,

Can we maybe offer them Cedric & Lokonga, who should cost at least 5 million each, just to sweeten the deal?
