Mykhailo Mudryk

Could very well end up as the guy whose career was buried before it even got started.

He wouldn’t of been struggling here. A loss for him and us.

From what I’ve see he would be

He is too raw, lacking in fundamentals at least right now and honestly he seems quite lightweight too

You have to believe the club wanted him and had a plan for him that would of benefited both.
This tangled mess that is Chelsea is just destroying his confidence and game completely. Could actually be untold damage.

The reason we wanted him is why I think he may come good eventually but in terms of initial impact I think we’d have been very disappointed

Just hasn’t grasped the pace or toughness of this league as of yet, looks to have overwhelmed him to a degree

Could say the same for Vieira at Arsenal this season. He has been given opportunities to show what he can do and hasn’t had the impact required to get ahold of a position in this team.

Mudryk at Arsenal could have turned out better than what he is going through at Chelsea right now. That’s two big money wingers from different leagues that do not look up to it.

Mudryk’s touches in tight areas have left a lot to be desired. Could be due to the speed of the league, but also could be due to a deficiency in his technique.

He’ll find it difficult to get game time next season with Nkunku joining. I think it would make sense to send him out on loan.

I feel a little sorry for him. He had no say in the price Shaktar asked and while he might have been better off joining a more settled club like Arsenal, you cannot say he was badly advised cause he got an 8 year deal worth 100K a week. That sets him up nicely for life, even if he turns out to be a flop.

He would definitely want to live up to the hype and the money that was paid and he still might but perhaps not in a club like Chelsea where they expect instantaneous impact.

Fuck him. Crap bastard.

Agree. I harbor no ill will. At the same time there’s no love lost either and sort of happy we dodged an expensive bullet.

On top of that we got Trossard who is currently better than Mudryk.

The big transfer fee (while not his fault) can be an albatross for the player. Remember Pepe? His ridiculous transfer fee led to really high expectations from the get go.

Mudryk would have had the same issue here. His situation has a lot of similarities to Pepe’s.

Arsenal have financially dodged a bullet here.

Looks like he’ll get a lot of minutes under Frank. Got an assist today but that was a flukey goal. Didn’t do anything for the rest of the game.

They’ve got like 10 players on 2 assists btw

That’s horrendous reading for a Chelsea fan

It’s crazy, they’ve got a negative goal difference and only scored 30 goals in the PL, but still

Do worry slightly what will happen if/when they get a decent manager along with someone like Kane/Osimhen/Goncalo Ramos

They’ve spent so much with so many crap players having 4-5-6 years remaining on their contracts AND to add to that no manager in their right mind would go near that garbage fire.

How would they fair with a novice project manager? Allot of egos in that squad and Chelsea player are notorious for getting managers sacked.

It’s a huge mess. Long may it continue.

Novice manager is what Potter was. Your answer is right there.
Novice manager with a personality to impart on them might do better.
