Overmars is the one we should opt for and the one we needā€¦Overmars + CL Football = de Ligt in the summerā€¦

I want Sven back. Weā€™ll have to see what kind of signings we make this summer, not even sure whoā€™s going to be held responsible.

On a serious note, it would take a serious gooner in De Ligt to choose us over every top side in world football dreaming over him.

Think itā€™s about control and influence with alot of these types of football executives.

I think alot of these types like Monchi prefers to be a big fish in a small pond

Of course it is. Why would you want to work under Sanhelli when you can be the boss at Sevilla?

Fuck this bald cunt. Lets get Mislinfraud back !

Seriously, why did we bin mislintat if we werenā€™t going to get our main man? :arteta:

Sanllehi - ā€œIā€™m not an expert at spotting talent/scouting talent, itā€™s not where my skills lie, I need someone to do that for me so Iā€™m going to sack one of the best in the game at itā€

Was always going to be tough once Sevilla was back in the picture, the guy from his playing career was a Sevilla homeboy through and through.

I am getting slightly concerned though, we really should have this all sorted out and working out the strategy of the future of the club going forward.

In fairness it probably has a lot to do with heā€™s a Sevilla boy at heart.

Also, no disrespect, but if he couldnā€™t handle the criticism at Roma and disassociate his job with the scrutiny of the media and the public thereā€™s no way heā€™d last 5 minutes at Arsenal.

Arsenal are a much bigger club than Roma with much higher expectations and a great deal more media scrutiny from a completely unscrupulous media and ruthless fan base. The Premier League would eat him alive if he doesnā€™t have the mindset for it so itā€™s probably for the best as well.

Itā€™s Mislintat who forced the issue by leaving after being passed up for a more senior role.

Iā€™m no expert on how the fuck football clubs are run, but with the window opening in July, that gives us about 15 weeks to get a Mislintat replacement and then begin the process of identifying / scouting the players we want to buy.

If the new guy is going to play a big role in finding the right players, the appointment needs to happen soon so he can help us strengthen the squad.

Iā€™ll start getting concerned if we havenā€™t appointed anybody by the end of April. Of course, the new guy might just be a stooge to Raul and co so it might not matter, but there is a gap in the exec that needs to be filled. The whole point of our much heralded new structure is that we hire people with a specialist skill set to flourish in their respective roles. Head of Recruitment or whatever we are lacking right now is a big hole.

Iā€™m no expert either but it doesnā€™t work like this. The new guy will have zero impact on what we do this summer at this stage. Just not enough time

Whatā€™s pretty evident to me any anyway is that the club is strategizing for the summer already and I suspect Emery himself will have a bigger hand in it than weā€™d expect post Wenger tbh

I donā€™t think Head of Recruitment is a big hole either, our scouting team doesnā€™t stop working because of Sven departure. The responsibility and decision making shifts towards the manager which is a good or bad thing depending on your viewpoint

Because Sanllehi obviously wants to be in charge of recruitment. Weā€™ll see what happens in the summer anyway. It could be good or bad or much of the same.

Didnā€™t Sanllehi boast about his ā€˜contacts bookā€™ (agents)? I imagine heā€™ll be handling transfer vision of this club. Does beg the question of the type of signings weā€™ll be making.
