Mohamed Salah

Apparently Salah saw Rio take 10 touches with the same foot while stabilizing his body with the other foot and decided his time was up.

Doesn’t he have records to break at Liverpool? Can’t wait till he fucks off though because Liverpool cannot replace him.

Is Salah pulling an Aubameyang/Ozil after getting his big contract? Starting to hear Liverpool fans moan about him. Didn’t he say this is his last season for Liverpool? Think maybe the foot is coming off the pedal a bit for him.

He is done.

Long may his shitness continue.

It was noticeable in the second half he had 2-3 very similar chances cutting in from the edge of the box that he blazed over the bar when maybe better options were available. Teammates and fans alike would have every right to be frustrated with his efforts there.

It’s probably a multitude of things, loss of a step, more opposition focus on him, loss of some form which was already happening last season.

Quite a few of their fans are on his back now because he doesn’t offer a whole lot in the buildup when they are dominating possession and he does basically nothing on defense except wait around halfway for an out ball.

This was all fine when they were dominating but now they are having various issues, it is more in focus.

Do not estimate the Trent factor, guys.

Goals dry up and you see what’s left, that’s the only difference.

Was expecting this.

He’s not even that bad at all btw, still probably their best player going forward (says something about others) but at this stage of his career, at this age, you could expect him not being able to maintain that crazy level he had during the middle of the last season. The drop was already very visible and obvious towards the end of the last season, just continues it now.

I’d say he’s still very very good, but it’s absolutely silly (by some of their fans) to expect him to carry a team that’s in bad shape atm at this stage of his career.

It’s the guys like Wirtz, Isak etc who should really step up and they’re looking like passengers.

Also, the defence is a huge issue. With that many questions and holes at the back you’ll see them catching a result ofen and they don’t like that.

The bench isn’t massive too.

Even if they improve this squad will still be facing many issies going though the season.

Many were scared seeing the champions investing half a billion into the team, but I’d say they invested the mones incredibly poorly.

Even if those star sigings, Isak, Wirtz, Ekitike, turn up, the defence is so poor (by title contender standards), so heavily reliant on VVD who isn’t getting better, and two of their 3 biggest signings are the same player and can’t really play together much (Isak/Ekitike).

Poor, poor, poor.

I’d be fuming, exploding if I was Carragher (searching for Carra’s analysis of the game right now :sol:  ).

Edit, and yeah, I have igored that part, they are definitely missing Trent too. Frimpong is a totally wrong signing imo and doesn’t really suit Salah at all. A shit defender who isn’t adding anything defensively compared to TAA (that says all) and doesn’t complimebt Salah going forward. Salah would use a good passer like Ben White much better than a fast guy who likes ti overlap. Salah is the guy who is making those runs in behind. Very bad by Slot.

Frimpong would be a weapon in a 3 atb formation, but totally unfit for this.

Bald Slut fraud.

He wasn’t on sky yesterday

I see there’s literally not single video of him out there…

So excited to see his first analysis these days. All the rage building up as we speak/write… :wright:

It’s the equivalent of Souness blaming all of Utd’s problems on Pogba lol.

Too early to write off a killer like Mo.

Good riddance

He’s always had long periods like these when he is not contributing. But then he has other periods where he is racking up goals/assists for fun.

Son was the same, until he was washed.

Not sure Salah is washed just yet but I don’t think he is gonna hit the same numbers as he did last season.

For me, the main thing that I’ve noticed in this period without the deciding goals and assists, is how much he is actually being carried off the ball.
Bradley was getting rinsed on demand yesterday and Salah never bothered helping out. It was Konate, Gravenberch and even Szobo at one point that were instructed to help him out until Szobo then moved to RB himself in the second half.
Chelsea clearly targeted that yesterday.

Just a shame they’ll still get 70/80m for the prick from some Saudi club.

Likely. Wouldn’t put it past him and his agent to run down their contract and leave for free so they can get more money from the Saudis.

Salah is one of the best players Liverpool have had but at least they have replaced him with an equivalent quality player like Wirtz.

At 33 Salah obviously can’t cover both ends of the pitch. He’s obviously saving his energy for the final third.

What Liverpool would probably need to do is to push one of the CMs to help out the RB at times. But I don’t see them doing that much with this somewhat soft midfield they have now.

this is not the 90’s or 2000. It is not going to work
