Yay! I’m quite excited about this player, on paper he seems quality!

Past Josh you are clueless

It’s seems strange that we’re signing decent players, getting the business done quickly and haven’t got to a couple of hundred posts yet.

Compare that to when we would spend the whole transfer window and more than 2k posts talking about a transfer only to be told after endless haggling that the player didn’t meet with our valuation, with Wenger insisting “we have enough quality,” then the following season scrape the fourth place trophy.

Theo Walcott hinted at this the other day. The mentality shift from Mikel has transformed the whole club.

Another transfer that upgrades the team immediately.

Great job Edu and Arteta.

He’s pretty tall too right? Maybe more set piece shenanigans this season.

6foot2 and loves a headed goal.

:oof:

How does he feel about giving the opposition keeper the business? We can’t keep relying on White to do it, although I think we’re like a step away from White giving a keeper a titty twister or licking his finger and sticking it in their ear.

So is this a Partey replacement?
I follow la Liga and I must say he’s been a tidy player most of the time but never really stood out to me… probably a good thing, just goes about his business making no big errors.

More of a Xhaka replacement.

That was Kai

Considering he’s primarily a 9 these days not really. Rice has been a stop gap solution but obviously not a long term one.

Merino is arriwing a year late you could say, he definitely is the Xhaka replacement.

Feel like Martinelli will prosper now that we have a Xhaka replacement who’s even better.

I agree. I think he is logically a Xhaka replacement, given we have Partey and Jorginho at No.6. That said his versatility will be useful. Hopefully this is a smart signing, a bit like Trossard, who improves our overall effectiveness as a team. There, I’m being positive!

It still could be Kai. I’m open to having different ways of playing as long as the players don’t get it too jumbled up in their heads. It feels like we already have guys playing different positions within the same match anyway.

I feel he will prosper with Cala behind him instead of Zinchenko or Kiwior as well as he seems much more dynamic and capable going forward. He wont need to be coming backwards to receive the ball too often either

Vieira, Havertz and now Merino. Third time’s a charm? Left midfielder and striker position have been our biggest weaknesses the past two seasons.

He will definitely not be upset.
