Odegaard’s number will have been on a lot of replica shirts already. Even if you give refunds and replacements that’s still going to be a lot of bad publicity for such a high profile player with a high profile number.
If they were going to do it they would have done it by now I think.
They can let the #10 shirt number breathe for a season

I believe there are going to be a lot of people shocked by just how brilliant and complete a midfielder Merino is. And how big this signing turns out to be. Needless to say I feel we have landed an outstanding player that solves the majority of our remaining midfield issues. Can’t wait to see him get adjusted.

Numbers don’t mean anything until they do. 14, an out of the blue number, didn’t mean anything until Henry made young kids crave the #14. It’s what you do with the ball on the field that makes your number mean anything.
That’s why Gilbert Arenas wearing 0 was so goddamn cool.

His FC24 stats are immense for a reason too. Definitely up there with the rest of our midfielders if not more complete than most bar Odegaard.
Agreed. A lot of downplay from the stuff I saw when we were first linked to him and many sticking their noses up/preferring other players (Bruno G for £100m+) 
This signing really balances the team now. He comes in knowing how to play it, so we effectively have a squad that is already drilled into the system and have a player that I feel will be ready from the off.
That extra forward really puts the cherry on top of our window but honestly, we have enough to go toe-to-toe again with City.
Glad to finally have Merino play for this Arsenal team. I thought it would be sooner but pleased he’s here now all the same!
