Mikel Arteta

I don’t care what some goofball farmer on X thinks based on a argument that circulates on the same platform nobody with perspective was saying.

There is no dynamism. Hardly any forward passes or movement. It’s just safe all the time.

Our wingers takes so much time to pass that the opposition is nicely placed by then.

How many passes did Gyokores received after he scored? Zero.

Can’t win anything if you just sit back.

Crunch time of the season is our worst statistical month. Worried.

I didn’t expect us to win the FA Cup but to put in another tame performance and lose to a Championship side is a problem, no matter how many players were missing.

Realistically, the league is our best chance of winning a trophy. Don’t think we’ll go past the semis in the CL, assuming we get there. We just don’t seem to turn up in the big cup games (not that Southampton was a big game), call it mentality or just nerves.

Need a win against Bournemouth. Don’t even want to think about any other outcome.

We know he won’t but if he ends this season trophyless, he should be sacked. There are no excuses for it.

This next month and a half is incredibly critical for Arteta.

He’s earnt buy-in from the players and the fans so far, because he can point to league results to show that his methods are effective in being the consistently best team.

That buy-in and belief will completely unravel if we end up trophyless - the players and fans will be drained and it will be extremely difficult for Arteta to convince anyone that he can deliver a league, especially to blow it from our current circumstances

That suggests to me that we are just not good enough at managing our players to prevent burnout. It’s going to be a big problem for us next season too with the world cup this summer.

Will just have to spend another £500m on squad depth so we have have 36 players to choose from.

24 of which he won’t play until April and then everyone will say they’re crap

Where is this nonsense coming from? We’ve rotated quite a bit this season.
There’s only 3 players in our squad that haven’t got more than 800 minutes this season.

Kai(who’s been out for half a season), Nwaneri(who left in January) and Dowman who missed 3-4 months out of injury due to injury.
It’s very likely Kai will hit that in a a couple weeks.

If our players are burned out it isn’t because we haven’t rotated enough. It’s because we’ve been battling at all fronts till the last f’n stretch of the season.

Norgaard had over 800 minutes? Bit surprised by that. I think the problem has been is that certain players have been ran into the ground and secondly some players clearly aren’t trusted.

Yep. He’s gonna have over 1000 minutes by the end of the season.

Here, have a look:

Context is important though. He’s started at least 2 as an emergency cb.

Ok?
How’s that affecting that we’ve used practically every player in our squad quite a bit this season?

That’s pretty impressive regardless.

Oh, it doesn’t. I’m solely referencing Norgaard, who most would use as an example of the squad being under utilised.

Wonder if those 3 players still would get a winners medal?

I believe they require 5 min. PL appearances to get one.

But I believe they hand out extra medals which Arsenal can pass around themselves.

I’d wager we’ve only used so much of the squad because so much of it has been broken at any one time.

3 wins out of 7. 42.8% win ratio, we actually lower our April Win rate but hit all our targets….
