You get the feeling the Sporting result & performance is exactly what Mikel hopes for in the big games like the one against Liverpool at Anfield earlier this season. On that occasion we got beat, yesterday we got all 3 points but we would have been happy with a draw on both occasions.

In a lot of things, yes and especially in the things that depend on us and it’s nothing to do with quality or execution. Those are the things that have brought us here. The rest we have it, it will be moments, it is better or not that efficient but those ones if we maintain them, we have a great chance.
Nothing new here. Just not sure how well this approach will work against more front-foot teams like Bayern, Barcelona. And yes, I know we beat Bayern earlier in the season. Let’s just hope the crucial moments go in our favour in the remaining fixtures.

I do not expect European glory but absolutely expect a league title. If we play well against Bournemouth and look sharp, I can forgive the FA Cup exit.
