We shouldn’t have high expectations but I think he will feature a lot more than I thought.
He is ready and by end of season, he will be a good Saka backup.

It’s actually scary not only how gifted Dowman is but how fearless. He’s probably ready to play a part (off the bench) at Old Trafford. I don’t want him playing at all in the league this year - it is unnecessary.
Rooney, Messi, Yamal, Mbappe. I can’t remember any of these guys playing league football at 15. I could be wrong. Even if I’m wrong, these were or are generational talents.

If he was feared, he would not be on the team at all.
Dowman’s level of ‘I don’t give a fuck who you are,’ is rare though. He plays as if he sees Odegaard and other senior players as his peers. It’s the way he demands the ball and doesn’t hide.

We are all excited to see a kid performing at this age among adults… but in the beginning he has to be good in order for Arteta to pick him for the pre-season tour and put him on the field

Very impressed with him. Having watched a number of reserve/youth games last season I was confident he was ready for the step-up to the senior squad.
However, I’m tempering my excitement at the moment. We’ve had many new superstars in pre-season friendlies over the years.
