Matteo Guendouzi

We don’t want loans, we want differences sorted or a decent fee.

Imagine thinking you’re the shit and having an arrogant and shit attitude and then the summer comes, your club are basically begging anyone to take you and nobody is interested lol

State of play is clubs don’t have money to spend. If you want a twat out the door then it may well be a loan is what has to be settled for.

No big clubs prepared to take a punt on him. Guendouzi is living in a different world in his head

He’s turned down a CL club in Sevilla. If he doesn’t accept Marseille’s offer, he’ll be playing with the under 23s. Critical for his actual career he moves this window

Should be looking at. 5/6m loan fee plus wages.

And puts him in the shop window for a bigger fee next summer. Not ideal situation but hopefully brings in a good amount of money in 12 months

Our 2nd best midfielder gonna be loaned out while we play a Xhaka/Elneny pivot :joy::joy:

Both Wenger signings.

Marseille have a hugely talented young DM named Boubakar Kamara who would be a great cheaper alternative to Partey, maybe even a better alternative from a squad building perspective since he is only 20.

They are also broke and need money, like all the non PSG clubs in that league.

Buying Kamara and loaning them back Guendouzi would be awesome business.

Shame he’s being such a little cunt, cos it’s painful watching Xhakelneny doing their thing. Even if he’s not the finished article, I’d rather see someone like him playing, learning and improving instead of two guys who are already pretty shit and aren’t getting any better.

I think its safe to say he’s only going on loan. No competent sporting director is looking at his current situation and thinking this is a guy I want to spend cash on and have for 5 years.

Our best hope is loaning him to a club who want to buy him eventually and he settles there, and then they know he fits and won’t mind paying to keep him.

What a waste of time signing him was.

2018 summer looking just as bad as 2016’s on reflection.

Torreira Flop
Sokratis Flop
Guendouzi Cunt also flop
Leno Success
Lich lol massive flop

We signed Guendo for what, £7-8 M? We can easily get 3 times that amount even if we sell him next summer

I wouldn’t call him a flop, as he was 19 when we signed him and never should have been a first team regular until he is like 22-23 atleast

But yeah, let’s call him a flop just because he didn’t meet the unrealistic expectations of people on OA calling him a £70 M player

Can’t go throwing these around so lightly. Your gang will be coming for you.

Agree. Sokratis gets a bad rep but he wasn’t terrible at all.

Guen hasn’t flopped. He’s one of the best young talents around.

Lucas was played as a #10 lols and hasn’t been given a solid run of games to show his ability.

Lich - we’ll just pretend that never happened eh

I think that’s a bit harsh.

Leno has worked out well.

Guendouzi was a cheap buy and had a good first season. Notwithstanding current situation, whenever we do end up selling him we are going to make some money on him, so has been a good investment.

Torreira had a good first season, indifferent second season, but is clearly not in Arteta’s long term plans, not because he isn’t a good player, but because he doesn’t fit into the system Arteta wants to play. Plus, lots of reports saying that Torreira isn’t happy living in England and wanted a move back to Italy or to Spain. If the player isn’t happy, and he isn’t in our plans, it makes sense we move him on and we will recover most of our investment.

Sokratis was never going to be a good long term option. He was a stop gap and personally I think he is a decent defender and has been one of the better performers at CB that we have had. Given the limited funds we had available, we was an ok stop gap for us but we have clearly been able to upgrade in that position now with Gabriel and Saliba.

Lichtsteiner…I agree, a massive flop!

3.5 / 5 for me!

Lich legit the only really bad one out of the lot. Guendouzi and Torreria would be great assets if they hadn’t been victims of small dick approach to everything.

Being a flop doesn’t make you a bad player.

I stand by all bar Leno are flops
