Matteo Guendouzi

This is all just rumors tho, just yesterday the rumor was PSG was wanting Guendo for 40m. Definitely seems a little biased here on ur part. Think it was the Guenfuckface comment that gave u away :+1::joy:

How do you know clubs aren’t in for him?

I reckon his agent’s phone has been blowing up for weeks.

Maybe a bit but when I used to look up midfielders we were looking at. I used to look at key passes, dribbles, passing percentages, tackles and interceptions. The only one of those metrics he performs well in is passing percentage. It just seems like this generations Denilson. Except this generation we have loads of Denilsons and no Cescs

Right lads and lasses, put your bets in
Where will Guendouzi be when window shuts?

  • At Arsenal
  • Loaned out
  • Sold

I say no club will pay Arsenal’s valuation for him, thus the club will have no choice but to keep him or loan him out. I think Edu and Mikel want him far away from our group so I see a loan to the club that gives us a solid loan fee.

As per usual, we’ll somehow turn an asset into a non-asset by accepting a nominal loan fee for a player when we could have kept things quiet, spoofed injuries and ultimately got a sale.

@BigWeng_4LYFE, do you actually believe he stays? :joy:

We all saw what Gnabry just did today. I remember ppl were calling him a fat ass previously. We as a fan base have no patience with our youngsters and I think the ppl who don’t rate him are off their rocker. He’s already better than Xhaka at all the things he supposedly does well and he’s one of the best ball progression midfielders in the league. Also we’ve gone far too long without a proper cunt in the team. Too many nice guys who don’t wanna win at all costs isn’t a good mix. You need some guys who know how to use gamesmanship in their favor. Anyways it will be a mistake to sell at this point cuz he will only get better and be worth more. I don’t think we will keep him but I hope we do. We are pretty pathetic at selling players so it’s very possible we completely fuck this up.

Edit: add to the list of guys we gave up too early - Jeff, and Malen too.

But Guendouzi’s situation has nothing to do with the fan base being impatient. I think it’s the opposite, a lot of fans want him to stay. It’s the club or the manager who have made the decision that they’re out of patience.

I understand your point about having too many nice guys in the team but there’s a fine line between having a few assholes in the squad to keep people honest and having an immature kid who acts like an asshole without having delivered a whole lot.

I like Guendouzi as a player but I don’t know what his best position is right now and Arteta seems to have made up his mind that he’s not worth the trouble at the moment. It’s really unfortunate, maybe more so than the Ozil situation.

I have a feeling he might stay, with some form of reconciliation after. He’s young and an idiot but he’s not going to want to not play football for a year just to preserve his ego which will probably get knocked anyway if we start playing well.

Selling Guendouzi will probably be the key to get someone else. Sell him asap.

Afraid Xhaka is going nowhere.

I’d rather he either stays and grafts his way back or he fucks off asap.

Loaning him out feels like too much of an easy ride for him to continue being a bitch.

Plus he is not going to be much. Squad player at best. I expect us to be better at least next season. If his sell is going to help sign another young midfielder that is a no-brainer.

I think he has a great range for Arteta to make a solid CM out of but it seems he’s pushed things too far in many ways for that to even be considered now.

Nothing new here, but it seems the only club interested at this point are Villarreal. Not sure about a loan to buy deal though, unless the sum is very high and Villarreal are obligated to buy at the end of the season.

so sad we sold Reine Adeliade to make room for this clown to play. Emery really fucked us letting Matteo run his ego up unchecked. Good thing Mikel put his foot down.

We did not sell JRA to make room for Guen.

That’s not what happened tbf. And let’s be real, did Jeff do enough when given the opportunity?

I think he didnt have enough chances. Had some under Wenger and probably would have made it to our bench above Willock. He left when he was 19.
