Matteo Guendouzi

I don’t see guendouzi going to Villarreal either. Definitely the type to think he’s bigger than a club like that.

Yeah, plus I know he’s been a knob, but making him play under Emery again seems quite harsh.

Discussions have already begun between the two sides in the form of a loan with a purchase option.

From being wanted by Barca, to being wanted by Bumery.

A figment of his imagination

No bullshit loans thanking you kindly.

Clearly Villarreal don’t have the finances to buy…but imagine losing Santi and replacing him with Guendouzi. That’s some drop in team chemistry, let alone technical quality. Yikes.

We should know as we did this bullshit trade in 2018.

Absolutely not. We need the money now. Emery can pay up or get fucked.

If there is anything in the world to bring you back down to earth with a bump, it has to be missing out on an FA Cup Winners medal and finding out that no big clubs seem to want you and Emery is possibly your sole admirer, all within the space of a week.

Even if we get done on the fee, part of me hopes it’s true just to spite the little prat :joy:

I’m still clinging to the possibility of him getting his shit together, and realising that working with Arteta is his best move at this point of his career.

That would require self reflection and genuine remorse.

This is the same idiot that was banned for three months from the first team at Lorient for similar issues, it’s a wrap for him since his ego has only grown since then.

He needs guidance. Probably doesn’t have a good support network around him. He’ll never learn and be another Balotelli if he doesn’t fix up. Doesn’t matter if you have all the talent in the world, if you’re difficult to work with, you won’t get far in any industry.

And maybe that’s also down to him? Can easily see him rejecting such a notion.

No worries though, he’s definitely going to learn the hard way.

It takes immense maturity at such a young age to know that you are in the wrong. Highly unlikely.

Constructive criticism is a useful tool in any profession if someone wants to grow, and get recognised for making such improvements.

It’s worrying that Matteo is stubborn enough to reject the advice and guidance from his own boss when everyone else around him is willing to self reflect. Does he think he knows everything at his age? Arrogant, stubborn fool.

Was a fan of his promising talent and potential, but a person’s character is hard to truly change, and I’ll be stunned if he turns it around here, or anywhere. Can go screw himself.

Agree with the sentiments above. I had high hopes for him however it seems to have really gone south for him this year. If we compare with Ceballos when Arteta was first hired; early rumblings that he would cut his loan short and return to RM. He soon changed his attitude and I supposed resolved matters with Mikel and he has been a complete revelation since.

It takes a serious character check to write this wrong for Matteo and it looks like Arsenal have not been convinced it will change any time soon. I think we’re still looking at getting a reasonable price for him, regardless if Papa Unai wants him.

I was never hugely sold on his talent. Always felt like his best quality was being confident enough to impose himself on games from a young age. I never felt there was a tremendous amount of elite potential. Just looks like he has potential to be a good player to me.

Which he will struggle to get to if he doesn’t change his attitude anyway. A kid with little humility will struggle.

He’s got a ton of talent. He actually killed it under Emery last year so a reunion might be the best for him as a player. This year tho he didn’t come close to replicating what he did last season, his radar is fucked up and hardly better than Xhaka, still better than Xhaka tho as bad as he’s been :joy::joy: so he was performing statistically and I think that’s why OA looked at him and the football community as a whole looked at him as a promising young valuable asset. We are now attempting to sell him at a low. Which is why I feel it behooves the club to try and reinvigorate his image and then move him on to squeeze the most money out of this situation. It’s a buyers market right now. It would be very Arsenal to sell him for like 25m to Emery right now when we could have got upwards of double that at the end of 2019.

One thing is for sure, we can’t just keep him hanging around. If 25/30m is the max we’re getting offered then take it and move on. Well get shit loads less and piss wages away to boot if he stays and hangs around being a cunt.

I never liked him from time I saw his hair cut, what kind of 18 year old rocks that kind of trim. Looks like the mop my mom used to use to clean out the bathroom. I would of made him cut it soon as he signed.

I felt like he was another of those players who although does have potential was grossly over hyped by social media and pundits. His attitude stinks, despite all his faults at least Özil congratulated his team mates and arsenal football club, this guy just posted a picture of a himself with a girl that has an even stupider hair style than himself!

The 1970s called. They want they’re grumpy old mans thoughts of today’s youth back

I agree with you 100% regarding his attitude though.
