Matteo Guendouzi

That’s tame for Twitter. Pornstars will post pictures of cucumbers in their butt.

Yeah, Transfermarkt has Guen around the 20m mark, 8m is not a serious offer

It’s like we’ve got a reputation for being severely cucked by Barca all those years ago and everyone proceeds to follow on from that.

Marseille can fuck out.

No, they don’t. Guendouzi nor Xhaka is simply that good.

I don’t think we should do to difficult tbh. We have money. Trimming the squad and wage bill seems more important than getting an additional €2-3 million for Guendouzi.

Didn’t we pay circa £7M for Guendouzi? Near enough breaking even, whilst he’s had an involved season with Emery and loan spells doesn’t warrant Marseille low balling us with an 8M offer. He’s worth more at this stage, however I fully agree we need to trim down the squad.

If there re no additional clauses that’s a horrific deal

That fee is small change to Arsenal

We’re a horrific club.

That is the reported fee. I don’t think Arsenal is as poor as they claim. At least not when it comes to negotiating fees with clubs. To actually get some players in I reckon it is more imported to slim the wage bill down. Preferably as soon as possible so that we can go on with our own business. If that means taking a couple of million less so be it, imo.

Now you finally realize that?

It could be the case that they can’t ask Kroenkes for funds when they have 10-15 players they can move on.

We’ll see.

We’re getting rid of a bad egg with a bad attitude…what’s the problem! And we will make a small profit on the original purchase. Guendo is the reason clubs are not fighting for his signature…if he was sooo good as you claim, clubs would be all over him, esp at that sort of price!

40% sell on clause or this deal is a farce.
Edu needs to be accountable

Yeah there will surely be a sell on clause

We need to sell the deadwood and reinvest in the team…If we are lining up a sale for Guendo this early in the summer, it is good news as far as I am concerned. If Guendo was so good clubs would be knocking down our door for his signature. The fact that Marseille are the only ones interested in signing Guendo on a permanent deal says it all! We just need to get as much as we can for him and move on and upgrade our midfield.

You are contradicting yourself.
If 8m euros is all we can get for Guendonzi, then we are proper dummies in the market.

You get that amount for below average players from lower PL clubs.

There is an entire transfer window where we can look for options to maximise the income from the guy. What’s the rush?

Can’t buy players before you sell. Can’t tell Kroenkes to invest when you’ve got assets you don’t need.

The reports I have read was talking about 15-20m euros…and we are in a rush. We need to overhaul our squad this summer which means that we need to sell the deadwood and bring in new players. We have to be decisive and work fast to get through the number of sales and buys we need to do this summer. We just need to get deals done and the sooner this bad egg is gone the better!

Should of sold him, rather than letting him go out on loan. Now he has a year left on his contract, and we’ll be completely lowballed on the price.

We fucked up the handling of the kid so yeh we will probably get screwed unless we bring him back and give him play time and get him to sign an extension. The kid was worth 50m last year at the restart and then we proceeded to drag his name through the mud and send him to a relegation team on loan :joy::joy:
