This guy ain’t an Arteta player.
You look at how the players mentally controlled the game at the Bernabeu, kept their heads, and then there’s this guy’s buffoonery.
Utd player all day long.

Maybe discipline wise but technically? There can’t be many more secure and also dangerous attacking players on the ball right now in the Prem. He stands out on a regular basis as a very clever, audacious and skilful footballer in a team with relatively poor support around him. Maybe a bit of a maverick isn’t the worst addition to the attacking part of the squad?
And as far as our aims for the league go, Martinelli and Trossard simply don’t seem to have the consistency to pull a rabbit out the hat the way Cunha can. Maybe Nico Williams is the more ideal profile but targets have to be attainable as well which is where likes of Cunha come into consideration. He can offer something we do lack on our left side (and often centrally too) at the moment especially against low blocks. We’re heavily reliant on Saka to unlock these teams and they all know this.
He certainly has a bit of an attitude but I don’t think it’s problematic enough where he won’t be able to work in our team.
Trossard had an attitude too and he’s doing just fine here.
Multiple managers across multiple clubs calling you out explicitly in press conferences by name for not being a team player and having a bad attitude on the pitch is a huge red flag. It doesn’t happen unless the managers have tried over and over to deal with the issue behind closed doors and gotten nowhere. This is nothing like Trossard, who always plays hard for the team when on the pitch and no manager has ever called out like this.
Didn’t we literally get him because he fell out with RdZ?
They fell out because he didn’t sign a new contract and then had some training incident. Nobody ever accused him of being unprofessional on the pitch or not working for the team.
Do we know Cunha’s apparent release clause? Nico apparently has one for 50m.
Saw this stat below posted somewhere
Is he really the type to muck in to the requsuite level?
Hella red flags with this dude like you’ve mentioned and although good I don’t think he’s at the kind of level to put up with that BS, not at all
Interesting stat, here’s him ranking very highly across the Top 5 leagues for his off the ball contributions.
Cunha, Eze and Kudus all potentially available. I’d take any.
Think we could do with all 3 tbh
We’d still be lacking a natural goal scorer sadly. I think all 3 offer something that we’re short on though.
They certainly shown to have the quality to change games for their teams.
None of them would be my pick personally though.
Unless it’s the Saudi feeding him news, Ben Jacobs doesn’t have scooby.
Either way, the quote is taken out of context. Even he admits Man Utd are frontrunners.
Dont’ see us going after him
Very good player and quite versatile but more than a bit of a headcase
Will prove to be a good player for United and suits Amorims lame system
Please no…
Brazilian media also reporting it. Sounds like someone is trying to get one last squeeze out of Utd.
I’m sure it has nothing to do with them potentially securing CL and the money that comes with.
Good thing that it’ll probably work.
Doesn’t he have a release clause?
