Tbf Amorim’s system would suit him well.
Given his versatility and value compared to other options I wouldn’t be surprised if we were very much in for him as an additional to an out & out number 9. He can play centrally as a False 9, a little deeper as an attacking 8 and as a floating left sided playmaker. Good age, proven in this league and gives you something different in trying to unlock these defensive sides we’ve struggled against.
Seems like a potential loose cannon though with the incident that got him suspended and some of the weird social media posts.
United are obviously far more desperate though.
He’ll be the latest bad mentality player to receive the bag then flop at United.

Utd could get any players in I think they’ll still flop. Their entire setup is just unbelievably bad. Poor culture.
Sanchez was always right.

Hope he doesn’t waste away at United - he’s far better than that.
Utd is his level…feels like the type of interim player they need in the summer.
Cunha has been publicly called out by his own manager for having a bad attitude on the pitch and not being a team player at both Hertha and Wolves. Simeone likely thought the same, which is why he hardly played him and then shipped him off.
He’ll fit right in at United.
