Martin Zubimendi

Can clubs announce deals before the transfer window opens?

If it slams shut how does it open?

I don’t think there’s any reason they can’t.

You’d probably have to say ā€œwe have agreed a deal to signā€¦ā€

Rather than ā€œwe have signedā€¦ā€

It’s possible on Football Manager.

We also signed Podolski in March/April.

Podolski was linked with Arsenal throughout the 2012 winter transfer window but no deal materialised. However, on 30 April 2012, it was officially announced that Podolski had signed for Arsenal on a long-term deal, for an undisclosed fee.

Invincibles is gonna be unbearable

@The_Invincibles transformational player, amirite?

Ornstein verbal bomba

How happy are you with this signing ? Zubi / Partey at 6 options ?

Zubimendi is the best #6 in the market so getting him will be a big win. I’m not sure how extending Partey on top of it makes sense though.
Bit of an overkill to have two top #6s, three even if you include Rice.

We’ll see how it goes but my feeling is that it’d be one or the other.

Zubimendi is a really good footballer. Not an exciting signing though nor one that necessarily gets us over the line. I’d be happy if we signed him but unless we sort out our attack it’s difficult to get too pumped.

I pretty much don’t think he sees Rice as a 6, but point taken on the other 2.

Need a winger and a striker @Truth_hurts , thanks for your service Trossard but it’s time to go.

New LW / Martinelli
New striker / Havertz
Saka / Ethan

Jesus as a spare when healthy.

Haha. Ultimately he’ll be moved on next summer, if we do what I suggested above chances of him being required are minimal.

Rude! I would hope I am always at least bearable @Josh

Yes…and I’m sticking by that statement…this is a massive signing. If Liverpool were signing him, everyone would be saying that a fantastic signing he is for the team.

Best No.6 on the market and I maintain that Zubimendi will change the way we play from the back. I can’t wait to see him and Rice in the same midfield. I’m still open to offering Partey a new deal (to provide strength and depth), but pay cut required and suspect this deal will be limited to a 1Yr deal with option of another. Still worried by potential legal issues though.

I’m totally pumped by this signing (if we pull it off)…he is a huge acquisition for our midfield and will help our attack with the forward passing.

Completely agree on everything. It would be strange to move Rice into a more defensive role after this season.

Alonso to Real is confirmed?

No haha

no need to cover Ode?
Including Zubi, there could be 3 more attacking players.
Zubi, 50-60m
New striker and winger, around 150m.
Ode’s cover?

not quite positive.

Have some Basque pride you little cnut. Don’t join Franco FC.
