Martin Ødegaard (c) (8)

We’ve been pretty injury free for two seasons straight. Bound to happen wasn’t it

Please, just give us one block of club football, then one block of internationals and scrap all these ‘breaks’. If we have to wait a little longer for every new season, no problem.

I have never won the lottery, and bound to happen??

come on,

Well, he’s someone who has struggled with injuries previously and also the sheer amount of games he’s been playing.

I’d say he’s due some kind of injury yeah.

Absolute clownshow. Why is he even playing after he was hurt against Brighton?

I totally agree with this. I would even much prefer a winter international break, where all the games get played and the season is split into two. The distribution this must cause for the clubs is ridiculous, especially after the Euros or World Cup.

Sucks. Let’s just hope it’s a sprain and a torn ligament.

Oh, and fuck international football.

No cover for Ode for two seasons now, we’re gonna feel it. Same if Saka gets injured. But its cool we have 20 full backs and 8 DMs.

Said it before but Trossard should get the nod in midfield as Odegaard’s cover.
No offence to Nwaneri but he’s still a kid to me.

Ankle Sprain - Confirmed

Where’s the mobility though

That midfield gonna get ran through for fun

depends on how you see “cover”.

I don’t see City really has cover for Haaland, Pool has cover for Salah.
All the back ups are downgrade.

If not the fucking decision on Rice, and freaking injury to Merino, I don’t really see the urgency to get a “cover” for Ode.
When shit happens, you cover will get injured and not able to cover no matter what.

Why wouldn’t we need cover for him, no one replicates close to what he does as a creative outlet

That’s a huge potential issue in the team

Merino-Rice-Partey (or mix with Kai and Jorgi) is sufficient for me for a short period of time.

You haven’t even seen him play lol

Also that’s the thing, short period won’t always be what we’re blessed with

Trossard can do a job out wide(which does involve quite a bit of work out of possession too), I don’t think he’ll struggle.

Btw, I’ve just remembered that I was thinking about the scenario of Odegaard being injured last week after that nasty tackle against Brighton.
So now that we’ve got good cover at the back, surely we can use Zinchenko in midfield?

I will slap this guy’s bald hed

I think he can easily struggle especially with no Rice

And Zincheko just isn’t an option in central midfield, he hasn’t been trusted by Pep and he isn’t trusted by Arteta

His performance in the Euro convinced me.

Yes, he hasn’t played for Arsenal yet, but he showed his quality.
