Basically they’re abandoning all of their old traditions to save a few thousand pounds lol
They were tbh. Any other year they literally could have been trying to escape relegation. They lucked their way to the Europa league with the crappiest teams and results in history and a final in which Manu were the worst i have ever seen. All of a sudden they are a CL team…absolute jokers.
Nearly £140m on Cunha and Mbuemo
It is a lot of money but both are premier league proven, and in their mid 20s. I think they could be good for United. Not exciting players for sure, but they could play a major role in solving United’s goal scoring problem.
They are cutting all kinds of costs and then spend 140m on Cunha and Mbuemo…
Sir Ratcliff is a genius
It seems like any decent player these days is £65m.
Mbeumo and Cunha is a definite improvement over what they have now.
But I’m not sure if that’s enough to lift them into the top 10/8.
To be fair, Mbuemo and Cunha scored more than sixty goals between them in the last couple of seasons, for mid table clubs and neither is a recognised striker so for that sort of money it’s about right, especially as we paid more than 50m for Edueke.
If my club spent 140m on Cunha + Mbuemo, I’d probably give up any aspirations for the season tbh
Though if the aspiration is to finish Top half of the table, there’s a chance thats a possibility.
If Amorim stops being a prick I see them claiming a Top 5 spot tbh.
Aside from Amorim looking clueless as hell their defence is whack, their #1 keeper (who they want rid of) is out for 2 months and the midfield is haphazard plus they don’t have a striker.
I highly doubt that lol
Onana being out is a blessing in disguise
Not really
They probably needed to shop him in order to replace him and Bayındır is even worse
It’s quite bad for them that he got injured at this point
Will Onana miss the Arsenal game?
No chance, he’s out for six to eight weeks
The “bigger” teams without European football will always have an advantage.
Newcastle last season, Spurs the previous season, Newcastle again the season before, us before them.
It will be a great failure on their part if they mess it up.
What do they have to do for it not to be messing up?
They finish 5th but PL doesn’t secure the extra CL spot.
Happy to make a 20 quid charity bet that they won’t finish 5th/top 5.
Who said I trust Amorim not being a prick?
