Of course. But do people really expect the PL to basically publicly admit that the league has been won by a team that have been financially doping, strip them of X amount of titles and basically admit the league has no integrity or credibility?

The PL will want to do the most to protect the brand. They could give them a calciopoli style point deduction (30 points which was reduced on appeal) but no way they’re relegating them or stripping them of anything.

Can’t lie I’d be willing to probably take that points deduction for them while we’re on this level of performance even though it’s very lenient. That puts us heavy favourites for the league when you compare us to the rest of the competition. But I’d much rather we overcome this monster of a club as the roided up cunts they are now and win it as gloriously as possible like Liverpool did. Except we’d do it with the fans.

A heavy points deduction next season will be fine too, as that’ll put us in a very good position to win the league imo, as I can’t see any other club on our and City’s level as things stand.

Points reduction would just make me give up. Sink City title aspirations once in compensation for winning 7/8 titles?

City will be getting a financial penalty which is laughable. But it’s just wealthy people doing wealthy people things.

City aren’t (currently) accused of any wrongdoing after 2018 and whether or not the PL has charges pending beyond that we may never know as they obviously wish for this episode to play out first of all.

The PL are also not the decision makers here. A commission has been established and they are going through the evidence presented by the PL and any refuting of that city are providing. The commision may be ‘gettable’ but that wont necessarily be the PLs fault.

It’s a bit like the cops handing over the file to the CPS and now that process has to play out.

Personally, I think retroactively punishing City is no-go.
So I fully agree with you on that.

I do think relegation though is a viable scenario. The charges are very serious and spans over a very long period. If proven guilty that has to be the bare minimum I think.

Burn the Etihad stadium down! (when it’s empty ofc :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:)

Honestly I’d love a 100 point deduction. Making every ball they kick that season utterly meaningless. Relegated with 25+ wins on the clock and essentially a season long parade of shame for the cunts.

I highly doubt they get even point deductions. The charges laid on them are subjective, and the litigation could take several years.
It’s only up to us fans to continually call out their achievements for what they are.

Especially on this forum, I don’t want to read a single post of City club, squad, manager appreciation.

Good summary that and its why I don’t think we should doubt the intentions of the institution that is the PL in all of this. They want the rules to be adhered to and that’s what they are fighting for here. The ultimate outcome wont really be of their making.

and to me that is an admission of guilt because you wouldn’t stimy it for years unless you were trying to stop stuff coming out.

That would be a hilarious punishment but I think it affects the integrity of that season so they won’t go for it.

I don’t see how it affects the integrity of anything other than cheaty bastards fc

50 points deduction along with transfer ban for 3 seasons is the least they deserve.

You’re essentially starting the season with a practically already relegated team.
City will have no reason to play for so it makes it a very awkward situation.

I think the PL would definitely like to avoid that.

You watch Serie A this happened:

Integrity will be ok as long as City is fucked.

Yeah, just relegate them and be done with it.

They might want to avoid it. But it won’t be their call. I hope its what happens anyway.
