Just a little reminder

Gonna be all the more disappointing when they get no punishment. No point hoping for any real action

Besides Pep leaving, our real hope for the next few seasons as we continue to build is City are done for their financial shit - but chances are not great considering how corrupt both the UK and football in general appear to be.

They’ll get a fine, ironically. That’ll then be halved or even less on appeal and it’ll all get swept under the rug.

When the officials at the top are corrupt, what’s the point in even having rules.

Damage city. Damage the product is the Prem outlook.
Integrity is secondary. I’ve said before you can only hope the scrutiny slows some of the practices down but it’s already done it’s real damage.

somehow i reckon it will be framed as ‘not guilty’ and pushed away and all the mancity fans will be saying ‘its always us’ and get more crass than before. They will be soon booing the EPL but demanding they win it. Just like the CL meanwhile acting like all of the competitions are beneath their bullshit club.

But i ask you, how can you be ‘not guilty’ of all of those charges? Maybe 1 or 2 maybe even 10…but 100’s come on! All this bullshit of Pep saying he will leave if they are found guilty. He is complicit, you honestly think he is that dumb that a club with little fans and cant fill a stadium can afford his services and all of the staff that came with him? All of superstars they suddenly got money for when they were nearly bankrupt and out of the league just beforehand. How is Mancity gonna get sponsors that pay more than Manu, Liverpool and Arsenal without them being bent? They don’t have the reach of these clubs. Mancity as a club should get in the bin and die a slow horrible death.

I think they’ll be in trouble to some degree. The lack of recourse to appeal to CAS is significant. I also think the PL would not have brought the charges unless they thought they could make them stick.

Also, the PL wants to prove it doesn’t need an independent regulator to keep corruption out, so some kind of action needs to come of this. If they end up botching it and letting City off with a meaningless fine, the narrative may lead to tighter regulation.

The problem all the Man City fans have is that, because they all travel in the same car to games, if it breaks down they don’t have any support. :grinning:

It’s funny that Lineker and several other pundits were very vocal when they were criticising Qatar having the WC but keep their mouths shut about the dirty money spent at Man City.

Rather than the sycophantic media accusing us of “bottling it,” perhaps these pundits could show a bit of bottle themselves and start calling Man City out for their blatant money laundering, rather than criticising us.

‘This mancity are a machine’ Well considering they have spent £2.5bn on the squad and have Pep as a manager you should kinda expect them to be somewhat decent no?

Apparently Haaland fee and wages alone cost enough to buy an entire championship team. (or was it league 1 can’t remember)

Imagine any of the traditional top 3 of Liverpool, United or Arsenal spent like that.

No club domestic or abroad would be able to compete.

As much as we want this City juggernaut to be stopped by any means possible, I just don’t see it happen. They’ll find a way out of this with probably a fine and a transfer ban, which will have no impact on them as they’ll have enough players to see it out.

If Pep stays true to his word and leaves City, then maybe there’s hope that City will slow down but I won’t hold my breath. Just don’t have faith in the Premier League to do the right thing.

Presumably thats more appearances than Fabio Vieira

Yeah, that definitely can’t be correct saying he has more appearances than Paddy!

Suspect he’ll head back to Germany this summer? Could continue to do a job in the premier league but not sure I see him at any of their rivals.

An incredible player who had his ability seriously decreased by two major injuries…

Missed a whole year back at Dortmund when he almost signed for Real Madrid because of the back injury, then had an torn ACL in his first season in England… Was never the same player after that first injury at Dormund, lost most of his stamina and acceleration, pace… But still a class player

Would’ve been one of the most dominat midfielders of the last decade if it weren’t for those injuries. A bigger talent than KDB imo no doubt.

In 2012/13, when Dortmund reached the CL final… I thought he was of the best CMs around an miles and levels clear of Modric.

Altough, I definitely wouldn’t put him among PL top 10… Was mostly a squad player for City, and I though it was a miracle he stayed at this level and managed to play for City after those injuries. I think Bernardo was more influential for them and he’s the underrated guy.

Worth a cheeky try in the summer

He’s been strongly linked with a move to Barca.
I think it’s either that or staying at City for a couple more years.
