Manchester City*

KDB to the carpet? Would take Haaland to come on from the bench too.

How the fuck did City allow the PL to be decided on the last matchday of the season?

Liverpool did have a couple of games in hand.

Liverpool also went 16-2-0 in the final 18 games.

This is where that view comes from:

Just one game in hand for Liverpool.

Bottling bastards

Anyone saying they know what the maximum penalty could be here is essentially lying.

Ok so that game in hand made it 8 points… coupled with pool barely dropping points for the rest of the season made it tight.

City took 40 points from the final 18 games which isn’t great for them, but it’s hardly horrific @GC-Maniac

Liverpool drew against Spurs twice that season really did them in. Conte really got under Klopp’s skin if I recall. Then another Italian coach punks him in the final (Ancelotti). Don’t even have beef with Klopp but that was quite funny watching it in action.

Kaveh’s sources …

Nice little caveat (Kaveh-at) at the end there, and that’s the point.

The commission (which hasn’t even met yet) will ultimately make recommendations and I assume the PL will apply those recommendations in full because what was the point of the investigation otherwise. Second guessing what they might do or trying to apply a ceiling to it doesn’t make sense.

I’m sure I read that there’s a panel who will issue a punishment initially, and then when City inevitably appeal, a second 6 person panel that will essentially determine the final outcome.

Can’t see any of this being settled this season. Although if City decide that a points deduction this season is better rather than scuppering next season with a points deduction - hard to say. They could very easily throw this season and focus on a rebuild from 2023/24 onwards.

My head spins when I read this stuff. Still, that’s why they’re all fucking crooks and I’m not.

Knowing our luck the EPL will start them on minus 25 points or similar next season and maybe the season after. I’m pretty sure that’s how it was handled previously.

However, I’d hope that if the FA feel that the team continues to benefit from the alleged wrongful acts, they would act quickly and effectively knock them out of the top 4 race.

Don’t worry about looking for gifts, let’s just try and earn the most points on merit.

Reading all this reminds me why I begged to not get assigned to financial crimes.

Only one of us earning our points on merit. The other one is being investigated over there’s.

I’m not looking for gifts or expecting them, I’m enjoying the show.

We absolutely have to focus on winning on merit. I want Man City’s biggest humiliation this season to be getting thumped by us home and away in the league.
