I don’t mind Calafiori to start but he better be on it from the get go.
No defensive frailty.
Theyve been terrible for so long as well. Come on boys we NEED the win this weekend.
so that’s at least 18 matches at their ground; not including cup games.
Surely that’s our worst away ground record in that timeframe? Maybe Liverpool is next.
Hopefully the team can get all the points.
they have not been in this shit for about 100 years… record means nothing
I had two dreams, successive nights: The first night we lost 3-0 to Utd, the second night it was 5-0. My wife (Utd supporter) asking me how the game went, as I checked the full time score on my phone.
Both dreams were terrifyingly realistic (except the Utd beating us part).
If we’re statistically the underdogs here, I’m more than happy with that.
Pre-match nerves haven’t kicked in yet. For a change I’m less worried about Man Utd than I am the match officials.
Fucking hell, is that Gary Cotterill again?
Those with a nervous disposition should look away. The last time Arsenal started a season at Old Trafford. Less than 3 months after our amazing win up the road at Anfield. The sun was streaming down, it was baking on that away terrace. We even had the same ref from Anfield, what could possibly go wrong.
Well, everything. 1-1 at half time, just as the players came out for the second half my sister collapsed and with my brother-in-law showing no interest (he was a cunt and she dumped him a year later) I went with my sister to the first aid room under the main stand where we kept hearing this roar from above, it seemed so frequent I was certain they’d scored 5 or 6.
Anyway, once my sister was feeling better we left via the main entrance and just headed back to the car before the match ended to wait for my brother-in-law to return.
A shit day out, I hope our traveling fans can have a better day tomorrow.
And hopefully an even better Sunday ![]()
I really do hate Sky
Yes of course, I was conflating my usual travel plan for Manchester events with the actual time of the match. If I’d been going I would have been heading-up for this one a day early as I’ve got a mate who lives about 10 minutes walk from their shithole of a stadium and the M6 is the worst motorway in the world.
I think it was a couple of seasons later the M6 was shut which prompted a pretty detour across the Peak District on the Arsenal supporters coach and having to squeeze into a spot on that same terrace 15 mins into the game. I never went up there on the day of a match ever again nor have I ever got the coach to a game since.
Seeing the Liverpool - Bournemouth highlights has got me excited for tomorrow but I’m going to be disappointed aren’t I lol
It’ll be close and the pressure will be on Man U because they’re at home after a very poor season so I’ll go 2-2 with Gyokeres and Saka to score.
We should be confident if you look at our record in big 6 games recently
Still think we´ll get an underwhelming draw. Can´t help but think Bruno will score another good goal and we´ll struggle to break them down.
6-0
That rat Neville is gonna be on comms tomorrow isn’t he ![]()
