I’ve never seen us tank a season before the end of the summer transfer window before but that feels like where we are.

Pundits already starting with the excuses for Arteta.

Glad I woke up at 430am for that. Was highly entertaining :+1:

We haven’t even looked like getting a point from any of our league games. One was against Brentford. There aren’t excuses for that.

He finished eighth with no European football. That should always be the sack at Arsenal. This is what you get if it’s not.

Give us the in stadium reaction @DavidHillier

It’s all too predictable.
When you have a manager out of his depth and a club who’s decision making is slow and inept, this is what you get.

The weird thing is that I think the club was quick to make decisions about the market this summer. Maybe too quick.

Saliba? Out on loan fast.

White? Ramsdale? Ødegaard? We locked on to them as targets very early even if it meant waiting to close the deals.

It’s a total farce. Arteta puts so much faith in a zero like Xhaka and gets let down again and again. What did we do? New contract.

Honestly think the Xhaka turn around is the epitome of were the chance went.
No chance or real change of tactics could come from this. Botched it.

Haha Pep making excuses for his cone boy :joy::rofl: “he is missing 8/9 very very important players” “he can be a better manager than myself” fuck off Pep

They weren’t quick decisions, they were easy decisions.
No one else was really interested in the players we’ve bought, certainly not at the prices we paid, and we still too ages to get them done.

But the real slow decisions are not sacking the worst manager in the PL, which the board should have done last season, when it was obvious he was useless.

I can’t think of a single decision our board have made which has been good for the club.

Reporters at Arteta’s press conference are not legitimate unless they ask him “How do you justify your position given your performance?”.

I knew we’d lose today, but that was as demoralising as it could have been. I really have nothing else to add.

We all knew we’d lose but at least lose with some dignity.

Two sites have their xg at around 4.5. Be interesting too see if anyone achieved that last season. Ours was .1

:bellcry:

Cedric, Holding and Kolasinac in defence was always going to be ugly :face_vomiting:

Some were making excuses for Arteta against Brendaford and Chavs saying no Auba or Laca or Oddguard

Now it’s no White and Partey.

Doesn’t matter who’s fit, this guy couldn’t organise himself out of a paper bag.

Never seen such a shambolic start to the season in the last 40 years. Completely justify last place and playing the worst in the league.

This project needs to be blown up ASAP.

Man City 5 Banter FC 0

City played like it was a training match. We were gutless.

I want my Arsenal back.
