I didn’t say it shouldn’t’ve been a red. I’m screaming about inconsistency. I agree it’s a red and should always be a red. But sadly, all too often we’ve had tackles made like that against us and the opposition only gets a yellow. That’s my issue.
And commentators are always sympathetic with the opposition who get away with it because they would say no real damage done. Player for the ball, not too much of the player. But no sympathy for our players.
I do wonder if Xhaka would get away with more if he played for Chelsea (or another top side). Fucking Costa got away with so much. A proper dirty player, worse than Xhaka, and got away with it time and time again.

Xhaka was gone twice and both times Arteta brought him back, not only that he gave him a pay rise and a contract extension. He said that he represents what this club is about and gave him the armband. Like @Stroller says reap what you sow.

This club is finished. We’ll be lucky to finish in the top half this season. Not even sure, who to blame anymore. I think the whole leadership team need to go. Kronkes, Arteta, Vinai, Edu - the lot of them.
