Liverpool’s disallowed goal reminds me of Arsenal having one chalked off a few ago for a similar reason. Ours was far more erroneous

No way they would have allowed the goal to stand if Arsenal had scored, so not fussed it wasn’t allowed for pool
They should roll with my idea of there being no offside if the ball is played by a player beyond the 18 yard line (which they should extend to the whole width of the pitch).

Tell you what, as much as I disagree with the decision it’s quite nice to see sky and PGMOL bending over backwards to justify van dijk’s goal being ruled out.
They’re definitely not as firm on it as they usually are with us, but once again Howard Webb and his ref boys defending each other on this bullshit call.
Webb making out like the ducking action is the reason, so better if Robertson just stood still now?
