There needs to be higher scrutiny of such high profile accident. This was my criticism of Reyes incident as well.
Even in that case, it was not just Reyes who died but another passenger with him.
That road is apparently an accident black spot due to numerous pot-holes and a generally badly-kept road surface. It doesnāt take away from the tragic outcome. Even if they were the authors of their own misfortune.
Iāve had slow cars all my life because Iām a painfully cautious driver and very dull.
The police already clarified that this area of the road wasnāt a āblack spotā.
It sounds more like the tyres were the issue.
I was reading that the locals feel differently about the A52 while I was in Spain, it can take a very small bump to shred a tyre at high speeds. Though the chain of causation still goes back to them speeding.
One of the more memorable fatal claims I dealt with back in my motor insurance days was a speeding driver of a BMW M5 who got distracted by a wasp inside the car at 130mph on the M11. His passenger was beheaded by a wooden post that came through the windscreen. The driver was insistent that the accident wasnāt his fault. We didnāt take the wasp to court.
Complete agreement here as like you i like my cars with fire under the hood, and with cars like this you need advanced driving lessons. My concern here though is that when driving a car such as a Lamborghini the tyres need to be in complete top condition especially if youāre going on a long journey as the brothers were.
Also knowing Spanish roads the edge of the fast lane dips downward towards a stoney edge and a Lambo being a wide car with wide rears itās gonna be easy to pick up a puncture at high speed.
On a separate note Iām surprised but thankful that there arenāt more car accidents concerning top footballers as Iām sure the majority of them own a powerful car.
Ornstein confirms their interest in Isak and that a striker is their main priority. I imagine theyāll shift Nunez for Ā£60m + and then fund Newcastleās signing for Ekitike..
Takes the shine off our striker signing if they manage to pull off Isak as well as resigning Salah and getting Wirtz in.
Hard not to feel like weāre fucked for the title if they bring Isak in after already adding Wirtz.
Obviously things arenāt that simple, and Iām not writing anything off before a ballās been kicked or the window is even closed, but those two plus other sognings theyāve made make them a very formidable proposition after walking the league last season.
Until Isak and Wirtz are injured in the first couple weeks and Salahās decline begins
They were pretty lucky with injuries last season and are due some this season
Thatās why it is important that we donāt mess up with our LW signing.
Adding a high quality LW to Gyokeres, Saka in our frontline will give us the ammunition to compete with Liverpool & City regardless of who they get.
Still not convinced an Isak deal is realistic for anyone. Newcastle would be silly not to ask for at least 120m considering the market and his age. Thatās being conservative too. I imagine Isak would have been on everyoneās list.
Plus arenāt Liverpool the paupers of world football fighting a valiant fight against all the nasty, evil big spenders?
Isak isnt Ronaldo 9
Not that worried
I would be very worried if that were to go through.
No heās not, but heās a premier league proven player. Letās not pretend heās shit and wonāt make a difference to their from line.
Heās very good and would be a good buy for them but I predict Gyorokes to be just as good for us next season
Incredibly bold take
Ffs 100M
We got a great deal for Madueke lol
Luis fucking Diaz for 100m of anything is shambolic
Theyāre so challenging Saudi clubs to pay that.
