Liverpool

Have to say I’m glad we went for Jesus and didn’t end up with Nunez. Jesus just offers so much more to us as of right now although I think Nunez suited where Liverpool were perceived to be at the time they signed him.

Why so hurt?

Nunez has plenty of developing to do with regard to his all round game whereas Jesus is A1 in that department and that is definitely what we needed, goals can be increased progressively but he offers so much more in general play compared to all of the strikers we were linked with.

I wish Nunez every success in his journey to the top.

I just hope that journey includes him being cast as a big money flop by the English press after 3 years of failure, before becoming one of the worlds best forwards once he makes his 7m switch to Roma.

Man, I really like Nunez. I think he has such a good profile and a lot of people who’ve been clowning him will have egg on their faces over the next couple seasons.

Nunez flutters between prime Drogba and regular Ade Akinbiyi - its either sugar or shit; sublime or shocking.

Hard to build around his level of inconsistency.

Yep.

His decision making is diabolical, too. Could’ve buried the game against Man City (twice) last Sunday

People forget that he only has two seasons of top flight European football behind him. He was playing in the Spanish second division only 2 and a bit years ago.

Plenty of room for him to build but has an instinct and drive you can’t teach.

The fee they paid for him will always force people to rush to judgment on his talent but it’s quite clear Klopp had a bit of a rough diamond he needs to polish.

I think as much as anything, it’s just fun laughing at anyone related to Liverpool for any perceived reason.

Bit like it was great fun laughing at Thiago and sharing memes about the numher of thumbs up he gave his teammates vs the number of goals and assists he had for Liverpool, even though we knew he was absolute class and would largely be a very good player for them.

I’m not impressed at all with Nunez so far. When he eventually leaves I don’t think he will be considered a successful signing.

Liverpool look short up front since Mane left and although they’ve scored 22 PL goals, nine of them were against Bournemouth.
Apart from that game, all their wins this season have only been by one goal.

Salah, Robertson and TAA have lost form and the defence looks shaky but they’re really short of attacking quality, especially without Nunes and Diaz.
They aren’t going to be challenging for the title unless Klopp can turn this around.

If you remove the Bournemouth game they effectively only scored 13 in 10 games far cry from last year.

They really miss mane, the team isn’t the same. Now Klopp overestimated the quality of his team today.

From “quadruple” winners to the conference league. Dippers in the mud.

Bin Dippers were awful. Seeing Gomez again in the flesh helps you to understand why he is fourth choice.

Also, as well as the nine against Bournemouth, they scored two against us and three in the draw with Brighton, which is fourteen goals for just four points.

So in their other eight PL matches they’re averaging just a goal a game.

No good beating Man City if you’re going to lose to Nottingham 6 days later. Well good for us but no so much for them .
