That’s also true in the Premier League tbf

We’ve got a buy back clause surely?

I am very fucking annoyed by this.

Surely not since we sold him to Sturm and they then sold him to Monaco.

Seen way too many players hit a purple patch for scoring form and earn themselves a bigger move only to do nothing with it.

Belotti, Jovic, Piatek are 3 names that immediately spring to mind I don’t buy into the hype just yet.

Should have kept him and given him a chance. Looking more and more a poor decision to let go for £4m or whatever the fee was.

Wasn’t aware of his existence before his first goals for Monaco honestly.

Think this is all just the benefit of hindsight though because it doesn’t look like he was tearing it up on his loan spells.

13 goals across 3 loan spells in Netherlands, Scotland and Austria hardly screams big prospect. Not to mention he was 21 when we sold him that’s usually a good enough age to have enough data to roughly estimate what someone’s quality might be.

I was calling for him to be given a go before we let him go permanently

Harry Kane had poor statistical loan spells before he exploded

PSG have won the league. 4th time in a row now.

The crowd goes mild

Just noticed they’re a 18 team league like the Bundesliga, when did that happen?

Few seasons ago

Most shocking thing is that those morons bottled a one horse race thrice since the Qatari takeover.

Bit disappointed with how the league has turned out. Used to tune into Ligue 1 games up until a couple years ago.

Lille winning the league and immediately going broke, having to sell key players and losing their manager didn’t sit well with me.

League’s dead, no wonder they’re having such a hard time to find suitors for the TV rights.
Be interesting to see if the Qataris jump ship soon. They’ve been linked with various PL clubs over the years and now they’re adding Malaga into their portfolio. Could see them slowly transitioning their focus there.

When was it alive?

I’d say the last time it was really fun to watch as a football fan was late 2000s.
Lyon, Marseille, Bordeaux, Saint-Etienne, Lille, Toulouse and PSG were all pretty close.

Didn’t Lyon win it 7 times in a row during that time lol
