Not sure what to expect here. We have looked really fatigued, but have performed in every Champions League match so far. But Leverkusen will be very up for this and we have to meet their energy levels to get a good result here.

5.45 threw me. Very favourable tie but I’m under no illusions that this will be easy. Ideally, we take a draw back to the Emirates but a draw is not a bad result.
I’d do a bit of rotation. Start Calafiori, Norgaard and Havertz.

Comfortable win here, shame about the KO time.
would’ve tried to go had we not been stuck an extra week in Asia.
Their topscorer Patrick Schick has 7 goals this season and they’re 6th in the Bundesliga having just drawn 3-3 with SC Freiburg.
We have more than enough to beat them handily, but we look absolutely knackered and you can never take anything for granted in the CL.

i dont think this will be an easy game since there is never one with Arsenal.

Could have saved some money if I thought of it when the draw came in but 178 euro is not bad. It’s just that I have to behave as a neutral tourist. Thankfully I know enough about Leverkusen squad to get away with it. Hopefully.

Is this a UCL knockout game or the Europa?
I am bit surprised people still haven’t got used to the 17:45 kickoffs. UEFA do it so they have two lots of games for tv.
I am wfh on Tuesday and Wednesday for this reason and great night of CL on the tv two nights in a row.

Why would people have gotten used to it? It’s a shit time for a kick off and it always has been.

I’m aware of the 17:45 kickoff time and I still don’t like it.
It doesn’t feel right. Doesn’t fit in spirit with this comp.

Because it makes a Champions League knockout match feel small time.
A lot of people aren’t even home from the commute by then, it just makes it seem like the match doesn’t matter. A CL knockout match should be the main event of the evening.
