Leicester City

This top 6 thing needs to stop because quite simply it’s watering down for the so called bigger clubs.
Any season out of the four is basically a mid table finish. You could have a few mitigating circumstances now and then but it’s no yardstick to be building on coming in at 5th or 6th.
You have to be brutally honest here and realise what you have, need and what the others have above you and what they’re going to buy.
People talk about a few players here and there but tend to forget the others will be buying as well.
This is years of falling behind here and it’s very tough getting back. The League is simply stronger.

It’ll be us, they only finished 5 points above us this season despite us being deplorable for the first 14 games.

Next season solely focusing on the league I’ll be very surprised if anyone not named City, Liverpool, United or Chelsea comes above us.

That’s 2 seasons on the bounce though. Them 5th us 8th. Direct rival now.

I agree it’s a direct rival not debating that, just think playing once a week will help us outdo these sorts of teams in the league next season.

Fair point. The biggest factor for me is the summer window. Till we see what happens to us and those around us is key.
I don’t see a top 4 finish regardless though. Improved season yeah. Probably be higher points needed next season as well I reckon.

Agree on all fronts mate.

Leicester’s defence without Evans. :face_vomiting:

It really wouldn’t surprise me if they do poor next season. Getting that all about to go wrong vibe with Leicester.

Same.

Well if anyone knows that vibe an Arsenal fan does.
We all know how much of a false dawn an FA cup win can be with our last couple of wins.

Vardy propels them into being top 4 contenders. Iheanacho kept their CL hopes alive with his purple patch of form, but I don’t see him continuing that for a whole season. So with Vardy seemingly on the decline, they’ll have a big task to compete for top 4 again.

Will be interesting to see who they buy this summer.

Yep. This is the key for them. Rodgers and owners have to show their intent now. No reason why they shouldn’t though.

We had enough chances to close the gap in the run in. But we didn’t. It’s not just the 14 games if we’re honest.

Teams figured his 3-4-3 out this season, they know now how to make us harmless by taking Saka out of the game. He is 75 percent of our offensive game. He needs to come up with another trick. Not sure if he can and I think we’re going to have a lot of frustrating games, again.

If I was a betting man, there’s no way we’re finishing above Leicester next season.

Obviously I’d like to be wrong (before people start taking receipts) but I can’t see us finishing higher than the Foxes

If we swapped managers we would. :grinning:

I agree.

Arteta is ruining us.

We have 7 points more than Leicester from the last 24 games

What about from the last 38

I’d say it heavily depends on the upcoming transfer window, Vardy is looking very much done out there.

If we manage to get the same points per game that we got in those 24 games we should get 74 points next season.
