Leandro Trossard (19)

Talks about how quickly he can fuck off to Riyadh?

I’d see where we are next season tbh

Not player I’d want to extend beyond the age of 31

LET HIM THE FUCK GO BERTA!!!

I started to like him a bit less after he got main character syndrome with that goal celebration.

He’s a decent player, but like others have said, probably time to cash in, change things up, and roll the dice for a greater talent.

So apparently the discussions are around a pay rise rather than an extension :thinking::thinking:

We should be selling him

He’s served his purpose

Fuck that, he can stay on what he’s on or leave.

Couldn’t care less about his contract or his wages, all I want is a new starting LW.

Perhaps Arteta wants to keep him because of his versatility of being able to play in multiple positions..

I dunno, I thought one of him or Martinelli was definitely leaving this summer.

So just a bump in salary and no actual extension right?

very weird there is only a pay raise but no extension.

Useful player to have around, he’ll be looking for his last big contract, so why not offer him a little more to be a part of the squad next season. We need better quality options on the bench and he fits that requirement.

But he doesn’t wana be on the bench as we saw and he’s played wank this season so why give him a pay rise?

Just sell ffs

It’s purely to keep him happy. The dude could be on less than 100k pw.
Extending a contract isn’t always ideal. Trossard will be 32 by the time his contract expires.

one year extension is not bad at all

It would be commitment from the club to keep paying him for another year. No need.
History shows short contracts are the to go with players in their 30s.

It keeps players honest enough to work for their next contract.

IMO opinion he earned a one year extension. Not more than that.

It’s a no brainer for me, we’re already short on creative talent and in wide areas. Despite not ever claiming a starting spot Trossard has been consistent enough and has been one of our better creative players for two seasons now. We’re not signing him to be playing 90 minutes each week, we’re keeping him in the squad to have the same role and I’d rather have him as an option than not. It’s not like we’re going to turn down a Rodrygo type signing just because Trossard has extended.
