Awful today.
No, it was him. But I think he was all alone and surrounded by 2-3 Newcastle players. Tried to make the most of it but he went out of the field.
Still, whoever came on didn’t have a performance to be proud of anyway.
Nwaneri looked completely out of sync on the right hand side with Partey, Saka, Timber and White.
White himself was sloppy.
Jorginho came on to give Bruno a receipt for last year.
Zinchenko’s only noteworthy contribution was nearly handing Newcastle a chance to double their lead.
Jesus came on to either pass it back to Zinchenko/Rice or hopelessly take on 3-4 Newcastle players on his own.
In hindsight I would’ve preferred Trossard staying on. Maybe he would’ve a found a lucky chance inside the box like it usually happens or at the very least he could’ve delivered some better balls from the left.
Ah yeah. It’s all post-hoc analysis but after watching that it just seemed inevitable that nothing was going to turn around.
I apologise to everyone who I argued with when they suggested that he doesn’t play well when he starts
He can’t be Trossted, you weren’t to know, it’s ok.

If this cunt starts on the weekend I will rip my eyeballs out.
I don’t care if it’s Chelsea, nwaneri has to start or just throw Odegaard in and swap it at 60.
Passenger in the side. That first touch in the opening 20 minutes was horrible. He failed to show up and imo has not taken advantage of these starts in Odegaards absence.
Ethan made more of an impact in 5 mins than he did.
What’s up with that recently? Received the ball right outside the box in the first half with a great opening to shoot, and he tried to control it for whatever reason and he did so with a trampoline touch too.
He had dangerous moment against Newcastle inside the penalty box, trampoline touch, missed his step and fell into the ground.
I think he’s one of our most technical players so it’s weird to see him struggle with the basics like that. Feels very uncharacteristic from him.
Saudi bound next summer for a decent fee hopefully.
He did put in that one ball in for Havertz point blank blocked shot was it?
But yeah useful player but has limitations, we need an upgrade in attack and not just because of him
Wasn’t that Timber?
I don’t recall, was trying to give man some credit for something lol
Jesus. ![]()
Nah he doesn’t deserve any credit either.
Just come to say how much longer are we going to have to put up with this guy consistently starting ?
He’s a good squad player to have but to rely on him in the way we have to, it doesn’t sit well with me. But that’s because he has limits in the position that we should have kept players (Fabio/ESR) or bought cover to play in. That’s not his fault really.
Impact player at best
Incredible how he’s gone from an unlikely hero to public enemy #1 in the space of a month or so.
Football is a brutal sport.
On the whole I thought he did alright when he came on but will be remembered for the moments he ballsed up
Low-key I think he did well too. ![]()
Both the chances he blew were offside anyway so I can’t be that at him.
I’m angrier at him for other performances.
