Leandro Trossard (19)

This is the sort of signing that is a lot easier to make when we’re top of the league and although he might not be elite, Trossard is certainly a more than useful player.

We’re in a great position to attract top players and either in this window, or at the end of the season, should take full advantage of it.

Didn’t Dortmund themselves bust that myth recently? Signed their fair share of “older” guys recently.

Don’t think Jude Bellingham and Karim Adeyemi are considered old

Could even play Martinelli as a #9, and have Trossard play wide left.

What about Haller, Modeste, Meyler and Meunier?

He isn’t Mudryk :sob:

I’ve seen him play, but there’s no “wow factor” about him imho. Could be a smart move, if the price is 20-25 m as I predicted earlier. Hopefully he will be inspired by the move and raise his game.

This doesn’t strike me as a panic buy. This strikes me as the guy who was next on the list. Went for Mudryk, didn’t get him. Possibly enquired about Diaby, got no serious response, next stop on the list was Trossard.

Seems like decent planning for the window to be honest.

He’ll score more for us, than Mudryk will for Chelsea :stuck_out_tongue:

Back that if this transfer happens!

Not every transfer has to have wow factor tbh.

White and Ramsdale certainly didn’t in summer 2021 and they are two of our key players now lol

Just for that I’m gonna stick with not wanting the cunt and having an agenda against him from day 1.

Well done GC.

We are talking about a backup/rotation player so it should be acceptable.

Overall an astute signing, has the experience, played in various systems and quite a bit versatile too.

Fee should be reasonable so much more pros than cons and also frees us up to monitor the market in the next few years for an upgrade.

Biggest benefit is he won’t need to adapt that much at all, he’s ready to go plus it’s someone who will likely have the trust of the coaching staff from the off.

Brighton handling this better than we did with Guendouzi though. They’ll never repair that relationship but keeping the fee up by pretending it’s possible.

Smart move.

Well said.

Very happy. Just what I wanted after the mudwank saga.

PL experience
Can play all attacking positions
Cheap and still with resale value

Whats not to like. If Liverpool csn win prems and cls with Shakira as backup then Trossard is more than a good signing

Resale value? :joy: who’s gonna buy this clown at 30/31 when he’s on 100k+ pw?

We’ll be paying him to leave like usual.

Not fussed if its part of the reason we win the league this season

We’ll win it without him. Shouldnt reward the cunt for throwing a hissy fit with a league title.

Save us chelsea.
