I think Trossard has had a few games for us where hes been ineffective.
I don’t think he’s ever been crap for us though. He always shows something.
I could be losing my memory but didn’t he play in the Southampton match at home last spring? The infamous Ramsdale giveaway match? That was maybe the only time I thought he didn’t play well but we were chasing that game from the first minute so I have no idea what the original plan was.
He did hit the woodwork from a long range effort at 3-3. I really thought that was going in.

I won’t put Trossard on the same sentence with Eddie tbh.
Don’t even expect anything when Eddie come on… Maybe a fluke bounce the ball just fall in front of him, and he is not in offside position so that he could have a clear path to shoot??

Anyway, the topic is Trossard. He was on for half an hour and was awful throughout and almost killed the game for us with that trademark pass across straight to an opponent right in front of our box.

So up and down, when he’s on he’s bloody brilliant but when he’s off it its really bad
There’s a reason why he is really never considered to be a genuine starter I suppose

And then stayed down for like a whole minute while the boys successfully defended their attack and were then looking to push for an equaliser.

We are not seeing the super sub performances that we had hoped for from him. I know it’s not easy to come on in the last 30 minutes and effect the game every time but that’s the role he’s been given. I think he should be used more centrally than on the wings. His technical ability on the ball and the fact that he’s good with either feet can be better used when he plays centrally.
