Labour and Your Party

If a PM had to resign over something like this, we’d have to change leaders more than Chelsea change managers.

In a functional country, this level of incompetence should lead to dismissal.

The fact we have had many PMs resign leading to instability doesn’t mean people resigning is an issue.

The problem is we have got leaders woefully incapable of leading the country to an acceptable standard.

If that makes sense.

Objectively he should go but he won’t because like you guys said he will go after taking the fall for May elections.

Cameron went because he called the referendum that led to brexit and a huge fall in Britain’s wealth and standard of life.

May went because she had enough of trying to reconcile brexit.

Johnson broke the law and helped spread a lethal virus after he ended up in ICU with said virus - among other scandals and corruption.

Truss completely tanked the economy in a disastrous budget on an unprecedented scale.

And now Starmer knowingly employed an unacceptable criminal person who may have committed high treason.

You can’t say we should keep this kind of person for stability reasons. In fact what we have seen is that this kind of person leads to a ‘stable’ decline and death of a country.

Which is what is happening. The issue is that all of the other people that may be replacing him will also be this or an even lower standard.

Finally. I’ve wanted to see Pie properly go for Starmer and Labour since they got in. And he didn’t disappoint :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Lads, it’s Labour. It’s another u-turn.

The government has agreed to pay Reform’s legal costs relating to the proceedings, which a party source said would be at least £100,000.

What a mess for everyone involved

May should be a good time to practice enjoying Labour losing and being horrified by Reform winning simultaneously.

Labour need to wake the fuck up. I’ve no doubt this scandal is being used as an easy excuse to get shot of the worst Labour leader we’ve had in my lifetime.

I say that as someone who held his nose and voted Labour even though I’m a Green Party member. It’s a decision I seriously regret. I was fooled into thinking his pre-election swing to the right was just to get elected. I’m voting Green next time, even if it makes no difference in my constituency under this unrepresentative first-past-the-post system.

My biggest worry with Reform is that everyone is looking at what they promise on immigration and no-one is noticing what they’ll do to the NHS, to those who need welfare support and what a known tax-avoider will do to help the very richest. It’ll be Trump-lite for 4/5 years, except Farage is a far smarter political operative.

14th U turn and its not even two years is nuts :joy:

It’s a government without a backbone. If you want to govern you need to make decisions that will be unpopular but these guys don’t get it they just succumb to any type of pressure lol.

They also chose some stupid things to try to do in the first place that made the U Turns inevitable.

Has there been any significant US arrests?

A prince and a former government official have since been arrested over this.

Of course not.

Both him and Andrew need substantial prison sentences for their offences. Hopefully the book is thrown at the pair of them

Marvellous. There isn’t a single reason in the national interest why Starmer should be able to remain in office.

Of course he will, the rancid shitbag.

Probably for something he said online.

If actions equalled consequences he’d get the death penalty for treason but we all know that won’t happen

As it is we should be grateful that at least this government have done the bare minimum of arresting wrongdoers which was above the previous one and also the US. (Of course only because these files for published)

My understanding is that this is almost only ever done for high treason and that can usually only happen we’re in an active war against someone.
