La Liga

Barca turned it around.

Damn

yea they put Pique and Dembele on at HT and then someone else I canā€™t remember but Dembele scored pretty quickly and they got the 2-1 right after canā€™t remember who. Was fun for one half tho, some Linares dude curled a beautiful strike in the top right corner crossbar ish, Barca had a lot of the ball but Linares had a couple of decent chances.

Real played Alcoyano, the team from idno what division, who sensationally knocked them out of the copa last year with 2-1 on ET, They had 1-1 going late but Real subbed on Asensio who got the 2-1 and then later they got 3-1 as well, but it was also a close call right until the end like the Barca game.

Hazard started and had another nothing performance, tbh itā€™s difficult to justify keeping him around when heā€™s given all the space he wants and he canā€™t even impose himself on a team like Alcoyano anymore. A shadow of his former self, he might need to go somewhere else to try and kick-start his career again if possible.

300th goal for Real Madridā€¦. BENZEMA CUNT

Ceballos on the pitch.

Remontada!!

Weā€™re relying on Sevilla to mount some sort of title chase.

This league is finished.

Vinicius thriving under Don Carlo.

I nearly had a breakdown a few years ago when people were saying heā€™s not an upgrade on Giroud

Good show from Real though.

tuned in to watch some vampireball and Correa just scored from the halfway line lol

Further to what @Darkseid said in another thread, Iā€™m pretty impressed by how Real have quietly navigated through a tough financial period.

Theyā€™ve got some very good quality young players in the team and their experienced outlets are performing at a good / high level still.

With the prospect of Bale, Isco and Hazard (definitely will be sold this summer) off the wage books theyā€™ve basically got the package for Mbappe ready.

Vinicius is finding ridiculous form, Rodrygo is still going and guys like Asensio are still contributing at a decent level. With Benzema still firing and some very good midfield options I think theyā€™ll be fine.

Getting rid of Varane doesnā€™t seem to have weakened their defence at all.

Say what you want about Perez but heā€™s done quite a good job, there have been missteps but they havenā€™t wrecked the club like the ones made by Barca and Bartomeu or Juventus for example.

Vinicius is performing like a top young talent now and they will add more quality in the summer.

At this rate theyā€™ll be back to dominating La Liga in the years to come and maybe even Europe.

When they get Edwards in the summer, itā€™s over for the rest of Europe.

Samuel Umtiti has signed a contract extension at Barcelona lmao

Until 2026, how in the world has he pulled that off?
