Probably his last appearance for us yesterday, and rightly so. Decent backup and for the money paid but too much bad baggage from the league cup final to make it worthwhile him sticking around. Need to rid ourselves of the ex Chelsea stench.

Wanted Garcia, got this mug. Probably wasn’t feasible to have both Raya and Garcia beyond 1 season anyway but still, time to ship this cunt out this summer and look for a new backup GK.
He’s done really well for us but these last two appearances have been nasty, not gonna lie.
Not really my priority to replace him this summer but I guess we could try our luck with someone else if addressed everything else and the money is there.
He flaps in almost every game and that’s no good for the confidence of our defenders
We lost the League Cup because of him and in his next game went out of the FA Cup so stop picking him when we have Raya and stop buying Chelsea rejects.

People gonna kick off when we sign yet another goalkeeper this summer?
Kepa is a good goalkeeper but this is not Bournemouth, it is Arsenal. He’s too slow to distribute and not very good on the ball. I’d rather a less established keeper next year with better distribution.
Don’t mind him as a second choice, but barring injuries, I don’t wanna see him play after February.
He’s a perfectly cromulent back up, the issue is Arteta treating him as first choice for a cup final.
Move him on at the end of the season.
Tommy is now Setfordeputising in the absence of Raya.
I feel like he just doesn’t have the mentality to play for a big club. We’ve seen him fall apart under the weight of expectation enough times now over the course of his stay in England.
It’s no surprise his best form came at Bournemouth. I think this was a sensible move for us and worth a gamble at such a small fee. But we’ve just got so many years of proof now that put this guy in a high pressure environment and you’ll eventually start to see some high level blunders.

I still don’t get why he started yesterday. Was Arteta trying to prove a point and if so, what was his point?!
He started because he’s the cup keeper. It’s been a thing for about 20 years now.
Has it been a thing under Arteta to play the back up keeper in the latter stages of the cups? I’m asking.
I know EMI played in the crunch games in our FA Cup win but pretty sure that was due to injuries. Ospina (is that Arteta era?) played a bit in the cups.
We never get to the latter cup competitions under him so hard to tell

That’s a different question and I don’t have the data.
I could definitely be wrong hence the posing of the question, but I can’t remember it being an Arteta thing to play the back up keeper in either meaningful cup games or against big teams.
