Jurrien Timber (12)

Big drop off to Kiwior

Tbf to him, he grew into the game. I was worried when in one of his first actions he just kicked it out of play without much pressure.

To be fair I think Kiwior was better defensively than Cala was. He made a great interception that would’ve put the PSG player through on goal.

Unless I’m missing him for Saliba during that encounter

Didn’t the same happen against Brighton?
Arteta says it all really, gotta manage his minutes.

Better be careful than taking risk

Should be able to get him rest this weekend—maybe come up with an “issue” to skip internationals as well.:stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Just precautionary then. He has been playing a lot over the last few weeks for a guy that was out all of last season with an ACL rupture. Muscular issues are expected and if anything, he’s not had too many of them so we should be good.

Not included in Holland’s squad.

Good news, hopefully.

Injury related or just not selected?

Injury, or ‘deemed not fit enough’ according to the KNVB

Hope that’s just us being cunts

Looks like it is. Timber could play tomorrow.

We’re just carefully managing their load.

Four defenders potentially out and it still doesn’t feel like a crisis at that end for us. Good times.

Good job we didn’t let Kiwior go in the summer

You’ve fallen into the classic trap of taking something Arteta has said about injuries at face value.

Timber will not play tomorrow.

And I prefer if he didn’t. We should be able to see off Southampton with Jesus at RB. Timber shouldn’t feature tomorrow imo.
