Jose Antonio Reyes(RIP)

That’s true I guess, and like Mav said, ‘a time and a place’

It reminds of the Paul walker death but Reyes wasn’t intoxicated AFAIK

When the news broke it put a real downer on the Saturday night for me.

RIP Jose Reyes, gone way to soon.

Like others on here I’m sorry Reyes died at such a young age, but him driving close to 147mph reported in the Sun newspaper is totally reckless. I deal with reckless drivers on a regular basis (accident Investigator) and almost all regret driving too fast and thank god they are still alive to feel sorry.

No way for anyone to go. Yes, he was reckless, driving at such speeds but it’s still a tragedy.
He was such a special talent and had he stayed with us long enough, he probably would have gone on to become a legend. He will always be remembered for being one of the Invincibles.

RIP!

I’m sure Reyes would have left enough money behind to look after the mother and the kid. Bit of a weird one that.

He’s apparently a highly rated footballer

Yeh I know I read the Twitter comments too. What I’m saying is why phrase it like the kids been suddenly orphaned and they’re taking him off the street.

It’s a weird dynamic they’ve created to farm good PR, and people are saying the kid was already moving to their youth camp before the accident.

Lots of people go 187 kph on deserted roads in Andalucía and don’t die, don’t really think there’s anything funny about it; yeah, he took a risk and it cost him his life, but it’s still terribly tragic.

Love Reyes, man

Top player. I still feel pangs of sadness when I see pictures/films of the Invincibles and see that one of them is no longer with us

Who said there was?

116mph is fast but it’s not an obscene speed to be driving on a deserted road, especially not when you’re driving a luxury vehicle which should really be able to handle that kind of speed.

Anyways, just adding to my point, Benzema has like 8 speeding tickets for going over 200 kph on the M-40 (Madrid highway), far more dangerous than going 187 on a deserted road in Andalucía.

Don’t really think anyone should be suggesting this takes away from the tragicness of his death or even that it’s really that unresponsible behaviour, if all footballers who went 187 kph on deserted roads in their sports cars died there wouldn’t be any football to be played even when coronavirus ends.

Yeah, that seems like an “oh shit/oh fuck/ouch” etc reaction smiley. Not a funny one, no?

Yeah @AbouCuellar has missed that totally. That’s not even a laughing smiley.

I guess, I’m not an expert in emoji interpretation but I don’t really see myself using emojis or making a post of just emojis in the case of a 35 year old who dies and leaves little kids behind.

Fair dos. If I’d have posted that tweet I probably would’ve posted that exactly smiley. Still a bloody tragedy though.

Gosh did you know him personally to be this upset? My condolences if that is the case.
