That Boro team was pretty damn solid too. Reyes turned Reiziger (who was old but great in his prime) inside out with that one. Isn’t that the game we equalled the 42 game run of Forest?
Schwarzer, Zenden, Mendieta, Parlour, Hasselbaink, Quedrue…
They also had some decent players like Joseph Desire Job and Massimo Maccarone as well. The latter was never a hit in England but he had a very solid mid table career in Italy.
They went 3-1 up didn’t they
Can still hear the Highbury screamer as that fluke Quedrue free-kick caught out Jens for the third

For a while I was absolutely amazed how Kanu managed to jump over Wiltord standing with his hand up in the air… Took me quite a while to realise he was on his knees. Such a disappointment.

Wiltord man. He was a good player and I feel like he doesn’t get enough credit.
Think he was our club record at the time we bought him and he did a damn good job coming in and out of the team alternating on the wings and upfront.
