The only way that happens is cause Mikel is still at Arsenal, and the only reason he’d still be at Arsenal would be cause he’s won something big by then. I don’t mind that at all.

Sadly no. Not unless Chelsea fuck-up his progress over the coming couple of seasons and we have to fix him. A lot of promising talents lose their way a Stamford Bridge. We’ve got 2 of them already.

Had a look over at Chelsea forum apparently the times he has played he’s been horrible. Seen someone say he’s much better at LB than CB but that position is obviously locked for them.
Last time I saw him he was awful, it was against Qarabag.
I do remember he looked good against Liverpool earlier in the season but I’m not sure that holds much value nowadays.
In any case, so far this is proving to be a bad move for him. Doesn’t seem to be trusted much.

I think he just moved too soon, he was 19 and developing well at Ajax. Moving in that situation can still make sense but you better be sure that the new club has an actual plan for your development - whether that’s a well thought out loan or first team minutes in certain competitions - and eventual integration. Obviously not the case at a club like Chelsea.

Would have been better off going to a mid-table team in the PL and get minutes/adjustment to the league before making such a move.
Out of the big teams, the likes Yanited and Chelshit are chaos vortex’s for players to thrive in.

Chelsea ruined him. Up until then he looked really good for Ajax. Can still become a top class defender but only once he’s got the Chelsea out of his system.
