Ajax will be livid. He’s considered one of their main assets. They want to tie him to a new deal and sell him for Anthony-levels money.

What @Starboy said. Ajax just protecting their investment in Jorrel. When summer comes he’s ours but I think he’ll get loaned back to Ajax for another season. We appear to have a friendly, useful relationship with Ajax.

This would be a very smart transfer. Young player but clearly very talented. However, he would be a replacement for Kiwior, and mainly used as a backup to Gabriel, but we appear to be doubling down on Kiwior, so perhaps we are looking to buy and then loan him back to Ajax?
It’s hard to notice because White, Saliba and Gabriel are made of iron but it’s important to remember that we’re still short in defence.
